This Roomba did a great job vacuuming. I was a little worried about the wet mopping but it knew where the rugs were and avoided them.

We have a very hairy fur baby and I vacuum the den every morning. It is an absolute blessing as we are elderly and vacuuming was very hard on our backs. I just hope this wouldn't last longer than our previous two.

You won't regret purchasing one.

The Roomba 205 is a pretty good vacuum. This is probably my fourth or fifth I robot Roomba vacuum. The only thing I don't like is that I have to have a totally different app to use it than the current vacuum that I have upstairs and I don't like the new app. It is not user-friendly at all other than that the vacuum is pretty good and I'm glad I don't have to empty it every single day I have two large hairy dogs so it helps.

Roomba is okay

convenient to clean every day.
keeps getting lost. requires resetting ribot and base. makes using unpredictable it might finish or not. help not very useful.

good and bad

When I used the Roomba 205 Dust Compactor for the first time, it stayed close to its dock for about 10 minutes.  I picked it up and put it in the front room and it explored the house...sort of.  It completely missed the hallway and half the kitchen.  So now, unless I set it down in a specific area it misses the aforementioned areas every time.  It does do a very good job where it does vacuum.

Quirks

I was very attracted to its slim profile.  I had set it up in my bedroom to clean the bathroom and the bedroom.  Here are the issues I have found: 
1. The updated app is very buggy sand lacks features seen in other brands.  Mapping is very poor and does not allow editing the map to delete fake areas of the room it had detected.  
2. The machine needed two reboots to get going. 
3. I still have not been able to to successfully clean any of the spaces.  The Roomba for some reason always hovers endlessly around the base.  
4. The base doesn't have any weight to it, so the Roomba knocks it around, and then has a tough time finding its way home.  
5. I am planning on returning the unit.  
I have found the Eufy to be a much more robust and user friendly

A mixed bag

I think this one is suicidal—it already tried to jump off the patio, twice. Spot cleaning barely works, and it often fails to detect dirt right in front of it. Most of the time it seems completely lost and constantly needs assistance.

The UI is also very poor, and the iRobot app feels badly designed and outdated. It really needs some AI-powered improvements.

Sorry to say this, but you may need a new R%26D team. The technology is far below expectations, given the number of years you guys been in the business.

Suicidal iRobot

Much like the last two iRobots it worked well for a few moths and then started having issues.  Roomba service is not responsive and their products leave quite a bit to be desired.   This will most definitely be the last iRobot I purchase

Works well….and then not

The romba 205 makes a tremendous amount of noise as it edges around our house. The mopping attachment makes the vacuum stall on the carpet, so I removed that. I understand that the machine needs to map the house, but it speeds a lot of battery time edging around the house. It has had to recharge multiple times so I'm not sure all of the mapping is complete. I hope as the mapping is completed that the vacuuming of all our floors will be finished.
