The WGB32BM whole house filtration system is the ideal "point of entry" filtration system for cleaning up well water. Unlike "point of use" systems (like reverse osmosis systems) that are installed to supply water to a specific faucet, the WGB32BM filters your water from the source. This means water from every output in your home will have passed through the three filtration stages of the WGB32BM. So what exactly do these three stages of filtration offer? Used as the first stage of defense on the system, the stage 1 housing holds a 5-micron high-capacity polypropylene sediment filter. This filter removes dirt and other various larger sized particles from the water that can clog the following filters. The second stage of the WGB32BM houses a 5-micron CTO coconut shell carbon block filter. Block carbon is more effective than other forms of carbon in that it is finely ground up carbon packed into a solidified block. This means they have a higher density than other types of carbon filters, and are therefore more effective in removing their targeted contaminants. The carbon block filter knocks out bad tastes and odors, removes up to 95% of chlorine from the water, and is highly effective on organic chemicals (VOCs) like pesticides, herbicides, and industrial chemicals. The third stage of the WGB32BM has an iron and manganese reducing filter - also great for the plethora of heavy metals found in well water sources. The FM25B iron and manganese reducing filter is only included with the WGB32BM, as it is not needed for most municipal water supplies that the WGB32B targets. If you are on municipal (city) water or a generally clean water supply, you may want to consider the WGB32B over the WGB32BM. For removing the common contaminants and heavy metals found in the majority of well water supplies however, the WGB32BM fits the bill.

Smell

So far, so good.  Have had this treatment system for about 1 month.  Bad smell and taste gone from my water.  My water test showed lots of manganese (causes orange color and boiled egg smell) and iron (metallic tasting water)  in my hand dug well.  This system made my water clear and sweet.  Hoping the filters last as long as they say they will.  That will be the caveat - if they don't last long.

Exactly what my city water needed (yes, it's that bad). I have been running this system for four months. Since the install is have had zero water quality issues,  which used to happen a couple times a week. Be sure to get the spin down filter, it has saved me a few times when the town filled it's housing with sand. As far as numbers go, my TDS pre filter is in the 480s Vs post filter in the 190s.

Bought the whole house system 2 years ago. I am so pleased with this product. Our water taste so much cleaner and the filters last at least a year. I recommend this system for any household

Installed unit last week without any leaks. All threaded fittings were attached with blue tape and pipe thread compound. I used one inch pex with copper crimp fittings. In addition to the spin down sediment filter, I also attached a pressure gauge after the filter and there was little drop in pressure. I will have the water tested in about a week and compare it to the previous test but so far the water is noticeably clearer. Hopefully the cartridges will have a reasonable life span although I am not clear on how to determine when they need to be changed. Anyway, so far, so good.

I live in a rural area and recently had a new water well dug to replace an old hand-dug well.  I had been buying bottled water for years for drinking purposes.

I have had this system installed for 6 months now.  We have well water with high magnesium and iron levels and lots of sediment.  This filter gives us crystal clear water that passes a water test.  the cartridges only last about 3 months, and the only way you can tell is that your water pressure slowly drops to the point where you cant shower while doing laundry.

I had this system installed in my residence on June 2nd, 2024. We have noticed a true and better taste to our Florida municipal water supplied to the house. Very satisfied with this peoduct so far.

the o ring seals came and with no lubricant, which caused all 3 filters to leak,making a mess on the floor. I had to make a special trip to lowes to buy the correct type of lubricant extending the project time considerably!
I think i should be reimbursed for my time and added expense!
