I needed a replacement timer for my Christmas lights, as one of the older Westinghouse models I've used for years finally stopped working.  I decided to buy two of the Intermatic HB880R's because I wanted to be able to more easily synchronize the lights on both sides of the house.  Well I'm happy to say that so far they are doing their job very nicely. It was easy to set them up so that they go on and off within 30 seconds of one another, thanks to them being digital, with instructions that are well written and easy to understand.  The battery backup makes this easy to do indoors which with the cold temps outside I appreciated also.  Bottom line is that for my particular needs they fit the bill perfectly.  How long they will hold up in Minnesota winters remains to be seen, but they do seem very well built, so I'm optimistic they will last for years.

Ease of programing and the ability to mount on the wall.

So far so good, little more difficult too set compared to my older one which is same brand.

It seems impossible to get it to show the correct time.  So as a timer it is worthless.  I go out and manually turn it I off and on.  I set the time the next day it does not tell the correct time
