Followed instructions, felt pods were too wet but stuck few seeds in each, covered, with domes and seeing sprouts 48 hours later.

Great for getting a head start 6-8 weeks before last frost.As time goes by and I see I put to many seeds in one pellet, I cut 4 cuts with scissors on the corn starch mesh to give the roots more room to grow. These expanded peat pellets are easily moved to a a 2" square peat, or 3" round peat pot if more room is needed. If winter won't let go I re-pot the 3" to 4" to gain more time. The thing I like the most is a seed doesn't grow, you've only wasted 6-8 weeks of watering a pellet that didn't grow and the pellet can be used later. Also, I have very few clear lids, so that is always a bonus to get the clear lid. The Kelp based starter is great and not to overpowering for germination. 5 Stars! Highly Recommend!

72 Peat pellets

This is a simple, inexpensive way to a beautiful garden, arrived at the store quickly, very well packaged, sturdy enough to reuse for years.

Very easy

I got these on sale for about $5 each so I ordered 4 of them and let me tell you, they are awesome! My 4 year old daughter helped me pour the water on them and poke holes in each "pod" with her fingers. All that was left to do after that was add seeds and lightly pinch the tops together to cover the seeds with the peat. I had Xenia and Wallflower seedlings sprouting up out of them within 4 days. Great purchase and worth every penny of the usual $16 price because it will save you so much money in long run compared to buying plants that are already grown.

Project arrived perfectly, however I was a bit perplexed at the use of packing peanuts in our shipment. Wasn't sure that anyone used packing peanuts anymore due to environmental implications.

We ordered two of these on line because it said we couldn't get them in the store. When we were at the store we found them for 1.50 cheaper. We were credited for the difference so that was fine but the difference in the soil pods was VERY noticeable. the one from the store sucked up water in less that 20 minutes. the two we ordered on line too over 24 hours and still didn't seem quite as good as the other one. i think they will all work but the difference was vast.

I purchased and put the 2 1/2 liters of water in the tray and it had a hole in it. Water went everywhere all over my table and floors. When I found the hole it was under a pod and the tray was not made right the plastic was very thin around that area.
