Taste

I realized after reading the ingredients that this powder was basically a flour made from different plant sources so I used it to create brownie protein bars (no cook).  EXCELLENT!  YUM!  On a side note I don't like drinking it....ick, but eat it, it's great!

Here's the recipe:

3 Scoops powder
3 Tbsp maple syrup
9 heaping tsp Cocoa powder
2 1/4 tsp Caramel Extract
6 Tbsp Ground Almonds - you can grind your own in a blender
1 1/2 Tbsp Mini Chocolate Chips
3/4 Cups - Liquid Pasteurized Egg Whites (ok to eat raw) - binds the brownie
1 1/3 Tbsp Coffee
Big Pinch Kosher Salt
1 1/2 Tbsp Melted Chocolate Chips for the topping

Mix all together (except the last Chocolate Chips) and press into a parchment paper lined 8 x 8 pan.  Melt chips and spread over the top.  Refrigerated until set.  Cut into 9 squares.  I wrap each in wax paper and put in the freezer and then grab one to take to the gym with me or for an afternoon snack.

Each contains:  11.6 g protein and 130 calories
After a workout you could eat two for 23.2 g protein and 260 calories - protein for recovery, glucose to get your muscles working again and carbs to sustain energy and caffeine for a power boost. LOVE!

Make's excellent protein bars

I've tried most types of vegan/ gf protein powder and this is by far the best one!

Favorite vegan/ gluten free protein powder

Haven't had much luck with vegan protein but this tastes really good. Not sure what the vanilla tastes like but the chocolate is really good.

Best vegan protein I've tried

This is a vegan protein powder ,they also make a non vegan one.I prefer the vegan because it has no milk and it mixes great with oatmeal for high protein meal

Not saying it tastes amazing but mixed into smothie with banana it is good

Good tasting

I've been using Kaizen for about a year because of its nutritional elements, its taste and its price (at Walmart).  To my distress the taste and smell have changed, as well as the size of the scoop. No amount of fruit, greens and cocao powder are masking this problem.  I am researching alternatives.  Please go back to your old formula!
