Wife wanted a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas. I bought this one for her and she has told me several times how much she loves it and how amazed she is with all the things it is able to do. My only disappointment is the color. It looks really cool in black and chrome but, my wife truly wanted it in red. Unfortunately, Walmart does not offer it in red and other retailers were either much more expensive or sold out in red. Otherwise, I would have given it all the highest marks.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I got it for my wedding 4 years ago, and I couldn't be happier. I'm a professional cook and got pregnant 4 years ago and became a stay at home mom, I really didn't want to loose all my knowledge and practice in the kitchen. I use it almost every day and after 4 years is still in great shape (other than cosmetic scratches, it works like the first day). I've noticed it gets a little warm after an hour of use, but if that's the only problem I would take it any day. 
Because of the amounts of food or the cakes I bake I wish I had a 5 QT. Or bigger but it still works for me. 
I love this and the day it stops working I would definitely buy a new one

Kitchen Aid

I have a small business. Among other things I make and sell 'goodies' at Farmers' Markets and Renaissance Faires. Our new KitchenAid has made the job of food prep much faster, easier and my foods are of better quality. My cakes & breads are lighter & fluffier by far!! Just love the new toy. Can hardly wait to get more attachments.

My New Best Friend

I grew up baking with my mother and really missed that hobby. However, once going to college and leaving behind the high powered mixer I decided, after trying make cookies sans mixer, my baking days were behind me. Fast forward many years later and I decided to gift myself with a mixer for xmas commemorating turning the big 3-0. Best thing ever! It was so easy to use and my cookie batter was deliciously and perfectly mixed. Highly recommend this staple for all households!

Best Xmas Present to myself!

Works perfect so far, making using it so easy. I plan on buying the meat grinder too. I prefer the tilt head mixer over the drop in bowl mixer due to osteoarthritis in my hands. The white mixer looks beautiful in my kitchen and fits in nicely without breaking the bank. Definitely satisfied with my Kitchenaid after wanting one for over a year.

I brought this after my 18year old Breville had finally had it's day.   I'm so inlove with the KitchenAid mixer, not only do I adore the look of it, I love how sturdy it is and it's just a basic no fuss piece.  And she looks a treat in my bench! 
 I have seriously baked all weekend!

I love my Kitchenaid mixer.  It's sleek black finish and classical design is just beautiful. I'm just getting to learn the workings of the machine having used handheld beaters for so long. It's a welcome change. My 2 main negatives are : 1 the mixer should be sold with the beater/ scraper combo (it comes with 3 types of beaters but this isn't one of them). This beater is essential for creaming butter and sugar or making butter cream. 2. I find it difficult to add the flour whilst the machine is in operation with out spilling it. The Artisan comes with a cover and Shute. I'm not sure why Kitchenaid thought this was not necessary.

A Classic mixer that will last a lifetime

I have been waiting to buy the Kitchen Aid all my life. Product does an amazing job but is extremely heavy.  Is not an appliance that you can move all the time.

Very heavy but good

Kitchen Aid was the premier in kitchen mixers. But now to make them cheaper in price, to sell in  'Big Box Stores' they have changed a few things.  1st. There's No Handle on the mixing bowl anymore. (But for $60.00 extra you can purchase one with a handle).   2nd.  They don't include the plastic  shroud/filler for the top of the bowl anymore.  BUT again for extra you can purchase one. And I can only GUESS at what they have done to the insides,  ie : Motor and gears.

Although its still a great mixer, the missing handle and shroud really do make a difference.  I had wanted/planned  to purchase one for myself,  And the 'Black Friday' price  seemed to good to believe so I purchased one. Had I known about the changes I would NOT have purchased from a 'BIG BOX Store' but instead would have purchased form a kitchen store with ALL the bells and whistles.

I purchased one 20 years ago for the wife, still works, no problems  and one for my son 2 years ago.  So this one is the 3rd one in the family,  So you can see why I'm disappointed with this purchase.

Disappointed in new CHEAPER KitchenAid Mixer

It seems that I am not the only one who has received their KitchenAid stand mixer that is missing the spring. I would highly recommend getting your mixer from the store. If you can, do an order on line and pickup in store so you are able to check for any defects. I'm very disappointed with such a well known company allowing defective products to leave their company doors.
