I've owned this item for decades and wanted to give it as a gift to my 15 yr old grandchild this past Christmas.  I of course was curious as to the current quality being sold today and could not have been more pleased.  My grandchild a gifted baker upon opening it thanked me and was quite surprised but have gone used to doing everything by hand and enjoy hat hands on experience later confided they didn't think they would be using it that much a put it away in the kitchen closet.  Less than a month later broke it out and it has on the counter top as its permanent home!  All  same basic attachments were included and of same high quality.  I actually paid less for it than my original!

After burning out a beater every 6 months I bought the kitchen aid and I am very happy. I have one recipe for cookies that burns out beaters very quickly not this time!! Just fantastic very heavy duty. I would recommend this to everyone, in fact I have given one as a present to a family member for Christmas..

First time Kitchen aid user

I'm recently divorced, and my 'ex' took the mixer when she left. I bake my own cheesecake, so I had to have a mixer. I decided to spend the extra money and buy this mixer. I used it the first night I had it, and I was NOT disappointed! The consistency of the cheesecake filling I mixed was absolutely the BEST I've ever made! If you use a stand mixer with any regularity, spend the extra money - it will be one of the best decisions you've ever make.

The Epitome of a Stand Mixer!

This is my second Kitchenaid stand mixer, hands down, the best brand on the market! I have accessories as well.  I will always be a Kitchenaid fan! shipping was quick, especially so, as I currently live on a tiny island, US Territory, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean! I am appreciative of the shipping option, there are no stores with affordable products here.

I got a stand mixer because I didn't want to knead by tamale masa forever, at least this was my excuse to get one! I'm so glad I did, I absolutely love it. Its heavy to move so I'm planning on make a mat to slide her easily. I've already made a bowl cover %26 matching bow.

Glad I got a stand mixer!

This is a work horse  stand mixer and you can't go  wrong with this one.  The technology is  state of the art 1955 and sold at a  premium price.  It is a USA brand and manufactured in China.  I was shocked to find that it came with a handeless bowl and shortly after it was delivered I revived a  solicitation to buy a bowl with a handle  for $69.99.  They eliminated a hand that would have cost them 50 cents so the could sell a 69.99 accessory.    The included bowl makes its use klunky

When I got the mixer ready to wrap it for Christmas, I noticed that the box was damaged at a bottom corner, so I decided to get it out of the box, and to my disappointment, the enamel was damaged. I bought this item online and now not sure what to do with it. This is my 1st purchase at your website and it is damaged upon pickup. Please advise

This is a great mixer but damaged when picked up

I expected much better durability from a KitchenAid mixer, especially considering the price and reputation. Unfortunately, mine started making a loud knocking/grinding noise after only 2½ years of normal home use. It was never abused or used commercially, so I was surprised to experience what appears to be an internal mechanical problem so soon.

For a premium appliance that's marketed as long-lasting, I expected many years of reliable performance. Now I'm faced with either paying for costly repairs or replacing the mixer altogether. While the mixer performed well when it was working, its longevity has been disappointing.

I hope KitchenAid improves the durability of its internal components or offers better support for customers who experience premature failures.

2 and half years

It seems that I am not the only one who has received their KitchenAid stand mixer that is missing the spring. I would highly recommend getting your mixer from the store. If you can, do an order on line and pickup in store so you are able to check for any defects. I'm very disappointed with such a well known company allowing defective products to leave their company doors.
