Ratings & Reviews+

KitchenAid® Coffee Grinder is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 65.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Starting breaking after a few uses This coffee grinder has a plastic piece on the bottom of the stainless steel bowl. After only a month or two of using it there were pieces breaking off this black plastic piece at the bottom of the bowl. I can barely use it anymore, and would never buy this coffee grinder again. I thought buying Kitchen Aid I was getting a good product, much to my dismay. Like I said, I would never buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works really well We mainly use this grinder for spices. It does an awesome job, even on cinnamon.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A piece of junk! The locking plastic base on this grinder cracked and fell apart in less than 3 months. Really poor quality at an inflated price. Don't buy it....

Rated 3 out of 5 by from It's okay Upfront I want to say that I expect a lot when I buy a Kitchenaid product ... for the price it should be a perfection. So based on that, my comments: I felt the stainless steel bowl was flimsy, there was a lot of "give" to it. I felt I could squeeze a dent in it way too easily! I love that you can put the bowl in the dishwasher but I don't like that you cannot separate the blade to wash properly. There is no way of getting to the underside of the blade to ensure everything is out .... breeding ground for bacteria! Remember people use coffee grinders for other things ...spices, nuts I struggled a bit to get the top to align properly. Nothing serious, but again, expect perfection from Kitchenaid given the cost.....everything should run smoothly. Given the price, I rate it average. I am tempted to buy and try the Cuisinart to compare.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great grinder! I've had this grinder for about 9 months now. I use it almost every day, and it's still going strong! It works great. I like strong coffee, so it's great that it has a higher capacity than most other grinders I've used in the past. I can grind enough beans for a nice, strong pot of coffee in one shot! The only thing that I'm not crazy about is that some of the ground coffee gets stuck in the bottom, below the level of the blade. It's not hard to remove it or anything, just use a spoon or something to loosen it. But it would be just about perfect if all of the ground coffee came out without any getting stuck. Even so, I would still recommend this coffee grinder. I've been through a few of them, and this one is the best I've tried so far!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken bottom on grinding cup. This would be a great grinder if there wasn't so much cheap plastic stuff on it. When you open the box it feels heavy and you'd think with a name like Kitchen Aid that was once synonymous with quality that it would last lifetimes, just like their mixers do. Alas, I've had this thing for less than a year and the plastic base/cup that screws the grinding cup onto the motor base has chipped off and fallen apart. I'm a pretty gentle user, and I only grind coffee maybe once a week, so it's not like it's undergoing heavy use here. Now the grinding cup can't be secured to the motor and this thing is little more than a loud expensive paperweight just taking up space in my kitchen. I am really disappointed with Kitchen Aid on this one.
