Effective for evenly mixing and producing light cakes.

Simple to operate and assemble with minimal instructions.

Well I returned it cause I really didn't need it at all but the quality looked good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this attachment. Making sourdough breads, pastries and crackers is a breeze now.  So convenient having the scale and mixer together. Faster and less mess in my kitchen. Highly recommend...especially if counter space is limited!

Sifter & Scale attachment

Kitchen Aid

I really like this sifter attachment.  It works very well when mixing the ingredients into my Mixer bowl, and also works well when I just need to measure and sift products for projects not using my Mixer.

KitchenAid nails it!

This product is so great! If you bake a lot you should definitely invest in that accessory. It makes the sifting part a piece of cake! Game changer for me, I highly recommend it

A must have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The packaging alone, brought excitement to the house as we unboxed the Kitchen Aid Sifter + Scale Attachment. Many of the concerns we had about the attachment initially had already been addressed. Simple features such as the slide to ensure that flour makes it into the bowl were greatly appreciated. 

The sifter capacity is almost too small for some of my larger recipes that call for three pounds of flour, but it works if you genteelly place the lid on the sifter once full. This attachment may not accommodate larger or double recipes. 

The height of the attachment did pose a slight issues for me, once the attachment is on the mixer the height makes it hard for a fun sized individual like myself to add flour, the simple fix is for me to detach the sifter and scale to fill with flour and then reattach the sifter.

The only true draw back of the product is though dishwasher safe it is very hard ensure all the flour has been removed.

The Bakers Dream

Works great! I love that I can weigh and sift my products. My only issue is that its loud. I usually get up before the rest of the house to bake and I cant use the sifter because you can hear it upstairs. I also wish it held more thank 2 cups but thats minor.

Does the job

No instructions in the box. It is not clear what things are machine washable, how exactly to disassemble and reassemble the parts, or intended uses and included features. Usually at least when a product has you go to a website for more information it is at least there but not only is none of this information included in the box but it does not exist digitally either. Very irritating to have to hunt for a manual for a premium product you purchased. 

Apart from this issue the parts are quality and the ability to disassemble and wash them is very handy. Just wish I didn't have to figure it out for myself!

Nice design but no instructions

I have a few questions on the usage of the sifter, when the sifter is on the paddle is moving in the bowl. So when sifting flour into a batter you are mixing the entire time the flour is being sifted into the bowl. Which may be too much mixing. In many recipes when adding the flour to the wet ingredients you are directed to not 'over' mix. But if I'm mixing while sifting then I'm at risk of 'over mixing"  How do I not over mix, do I take the paddle off the when I'm sifting?  ( that seems like a process). Second question is does this sifter work for brown sugar?

Questions on how to use

I bought this a few weeks ago, and it did not come even close to properly depth adjusted.  It failed the dime test by a good centimetre.  But when I did adjust it properly, the tilt lock started slipping.  A classic no win between optimizing competing objectives because of the common adjustment for both.  

Otherwise, it is a very attractive well thought out machine.  Please note that for my main uses (pasta and breads) that I was quite disappointed to find that the machine really struggled.  It really isn't up to doing larger batches of this type of mixing.  

I guess I will have to sell this one and get something more powerful- even though I really didn't want the awkwardness of a lift mixer. I can strongly recommend this machine for light duty and for use with accessories, but not for pasta dough.

Not strong enough for bigger batches of pasta

Don't let box fool you. I purchased 2 of what I thought was a Kitchen Aid mixer with attached Sifter and Slicer enclosed. Imagine to my surprise when I got them and only sifter and slicer attachment enclosed for the price of a kitchen Aid mixer and attachments.  I am trying to return them now one to no avail.

Don't judge a book by its cover. Read small print.
