Homedics UK

I'd buy more oils, when I need to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has been using various natural products for some time now, especially essential oils for skin care. While we don't dislike commercial products, we make our own lotion, sunscreen etc for family use. I will also say that we have seen better results with natural oils than the commercial products. When I received this Homedics Ellia essential Lavender oil, I quickly looked at ingredients and I was very pleased to see that it is 100% Lavender oil. As far as benefits are concerned, oils like Almond, Coconut, Lemon, Carrot seed, Jojoba, Tea Tree are far more beneficial than Lavender. So what is so special about Lavender oil? The fragrance! Yes, we added a few drops of this Lavender oil with other oils for application on face, and the product became lot more appealing. This Lavender oil has excellent smell. Packaging and quality is great too. I would certainly encourage you to give it a try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil, is very strong. It's known for its calming and relaxing effects. The Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil can be used as an oil to burn so it can release its calming and relaxing effects in the air or it can be used topically. I chose to use the Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil topically on my body. However, to use the Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil on the skin, you must first dilute it with a carrier oil. I chose to use coconut oil as a carrier oil for the Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil. I mixed the coconut oil and a few drops of the Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil, in a small jar. It turned into a creamy textured substance. I prefer to apply a small amount around my neck, ears and chest area at night time before I go to bed. This way I can fall asleep smelling and experiencing the relaxing, calming effects of the Ellia By Homedics Arm-Therapeutic-Grade Essential Lavender Oil. I would definitely recommend this product.

Calming Effect

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I REALLY LIKE THE LIGHT AROMA OF THE LAVENDER..VERY SOOTHIN AND CALMING ON MY PILLOWS ..I PUT ON SOME COTTONBALLS , ABOUT 10 DROPS AND LIGHTLY DAB ON THE CORNER OF MY PILLOWS..I HAVE FOUR..AND IT REALLY CALMS ME WHEN I CLOSE MY EYES AND FALL ASLEEP..YOU CAN ALSO PUT IN A VAPOR MACHNE..BUT I DO NOT HAVE ONE OF THOSE..I DID HAVE A HARD TIME TRYING TO OPEN THE BOTTLE...I HAD TO ASK A 12 YEAR OLD HOW TO OPEN IT..GUESS WHAT , ITS LIKE A MEDICINE BOTTLE THAT PROTECTS THEM FROM OPENING THE PILL BOTTLES..THAT IS JUST A HOOT...I HAD TO LAUGH AT THAT...ITS 100% PURE THERAPEUTIC GRADE ESSENTIAL OIL...IT JUST MEANS THIS IS THE REAL THING AND NOT WATERED DOWN VERSION...IT LASTS A LONG TIME AND ITS ALMOST 6 DAYS AND STILL GOING STRONG ON MY COTTON BALLS..THEY HAVE A WEB SITE TO ORDER TOO.. HERE IT IS: WWW.ELLIA.COM...........VERY SIMPLE. I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN IN A HEART BEAT..OR TRY OTHER TYPES OF AROMAS.. THANK YOU

GREAT AROMA IN THE BEDROOM

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Never have I experienced such a concentrated lavender oil. One drop is all that is necessary. I am using this essential oil as an additive in just about everything from hair conditioner to home-made laundry and cleaning products. So basically it is aroma therapy all day long.

I realize that there are many medicinal benefits for lavender oil, but this was specifically noted to be for external use only. It is calming at bedtime and during those “wild child” moments. I have always enjoyed the scent of lavender and have even attempted to grow and dry my own. It is so much more efficient to have the oil. How great it i to have this scent surround me as I retire for the evening and have freshly laundered sheets smelling of lavender.

I've put a drop or two on a cotton ball and placed it in an inconspicuous place and it subtly scents the room. Whether it is the bathroom or the living room it adds a luxurious scent. Hard to believe something so simple can affect a person's perceptions of calm.

I have considered using it s a scent in candle making, but have not tried that yet. I understand it can be somewhat diluted with other oils and applied to bruises or burns or other irritations caused by bacteria because of its antiseptic properties. Also for bee stings. Personally I prefer the other uses.

Just one drop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off Lavender is my favorite scent and this is high grade stuff. It's very calming and soothing without being overwhelming. I really like the packaging that came with this. It's also a slightly larger size than other bottles of lavender oil I've bought in the past which is great. It's 15 ml or 5 fl ounces. The design of the actual logo and label are pretty cute too. This is made with pure high-quality ingredients which I love. I would highly recommend this brand.

Great Stuff!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ellia By Homedics Arm-Eo15Lav 15mL Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oil, Lavender

---Earlier today I received the Ellia by Homedics Lavender Therapeutic-Grade Essential Oil for me to test and review. I could not find my tall clear narrow vase (I guess it was moved when I re-arranged things) so I just used a glass bottle I had removed the label from. I only put a few drops into the jar with a little water and I added a reed that is often used for aromas (purchased the reed(s) at Walmart where the candles and oils are). I then put the bottle in my bedroom.

---Within 30 minutes I had gone into the hall by my bedroom and it smelled so good. I could already tell how soothing and relaxing this will be would be tonight. Because the lavender smelled so well in the bedroom, I wondered just how strong it was in the bedroom – but no problems, it smelled really good and without a strong smell.

--This lavender smell is very refreshing and has a light-type smell to it. Even though when I opened the jar, it smelled pretty strong, but then, I guess, any essential oil is going to smell somewhat strong in the small jar.

--Also the jar has a childproof cap BUT this cap is what I greatly dislike about this oil container. Hopefully I still have some essential oil jars that I can transfer this oil to.

-- Today, I really like the smell and the soothing feeling I had when I went to bed last night and it was really nice to smell the lavender when I woke up this morning.

Soothing & Freshing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Ellia By Homedics Arm-Eo 15Lav 15mL Theapeutic-Grade Lavender Essential Oil in the past. I had forgotten all the uses. I mixed 6 drops of Dawn dish soap and 10 drops of Lavender Essential Oil with warm water in a 1.5 pint spray bottle. I then sprayed it on my window screens to keep the gnats from coming in. Works great!! I also use it after I get bug bites when I comes in from outdoors. I just put a drop on my finger and rub it on the bite. The itch is gone!! I would recommend trying Ellia By Homedics Therapeutic-Grade Lavender Essential Oil for these problems. Alsp can take a few drops and some water in a spray bottle and use it as air freshener!!

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a product I truly enjoy. It was a little odd, as it is not a product all are familiar with. Aroma therapy is a good word. That leaves the creativity up to you. I ran the product under my nose to get an idea of the strength of the product, and was quite surprised. Apparently, a little goes a long way, so be careful not to get it on your nose at full strength.
I mixed a few drops in with baby oil in the bathtub, for the scent, and it was a lovely relaxing bath. On a different occasion, I mixed a drop in with my skin oil (avoiding skin lotion), and the mild scent carried nicely on my skin for some time. I added a drop to a tired plug in, and extended it's life. Adding a drop to an oil lamp was nice, and I also added one to a basket of fake flowers, too. The lavender was quite relaxing no matter where my creativity went. I recommend it highly for those looking to relax as well as those looking for news ways to expand their creativity!

An enjoyable peaceful experience.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I feel really bad about having to give such a less than stellar review for a product that I received for free. But in all honesty, I expected to like the essential oil in lavender scent. oh, boy, was I wrong! I Thought that I could 'come around', if only I tried to like it. Not a chance. I gave it my best effort. Tried the diffuser. nope. Not a go. Tried soaking in a hot bath with epsom salts and lavender essential oils. The bath felt good, of course, but I cannot say that the essential oil affected me in any positive way.
I left my apartment and came back only to open the door and get hit right in the nostrils with this awful smell! ackk! I always use some sort of freshener, and do not enjoy bad odors in my home at all. I don't know exactly what I expected, but this revolting smell is not even close to anything I ever thought was the smell of lavender. Perhaps I just happened to get a 'bad' bottle, but whatever the case, I can assure you that I will not ever buy anything labeled 'lavender' again, without first testing the smell! Save your money, folks, is my suggestion to you. sorry to be a 'Debbie Downer'.

what a disappointment.
