Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Friends - Advent Calendar 2016 (41131) is rated 3.1 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Fun Set, but.... I love the idea of this set and my girls love to open a new set each day, but, the Lego Friends calendar needs some improvement. I have been buying my girls the Lego City set because it has much better builds every day and the kit has more pieces for the same price (290 versus 218). The city set has a Santa and his sleigh, a snow mobile, pretty lamp posts, an oven with cookies, plus more. Lego, I appreciate the Lego Friends set, but please up your game and put some more interesting builds besides pots and pans and grilling chicken legs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from All over too soon Each day's 'open and build' will be over in less than a minute. My girls want to build 'girl' themed designs but the challenge is lacking. Now they are beginning to choose The Star Wars themes not because they like Star Wars but because it's got more challenge. Come on Lego - don't underestimate girls -'or their mums' spending power! Let's hope next year's calendar is hugely improved and the Friends theme given more challenge

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so worthy Unfortunately did not approve so well with the kids, as contents are constantly repeated, just the colors/prints are changed in different years, no new idea in the small individual sets. A new mini figure type along with a cute animal would be more welcome with a nice set to make out of all the day's build. Should be like a mini Creator or a Lego Friends Build your Own book type. Sets should incorporate the 2H year's theme to make it Christmassy, so that completes add a playful time to the other bigger set. Why Star Wars or City Advent Calendars seems to be more interesting? Utensils should be for last season, not really catching any longer. Package and scene makes it more appealing, would love to stay true Friends Fan and see an innovation in the Calendar to come. Price is high compared to what holds beneath.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Advent Calendars I have two girls and now the younger one has passed the age where she is happy to have the playmobil advent calendar and wants the lego one like her sister, but why is there only one girly one? Boys can have the City and the Star Wars. Though I agree that the City has a better build value, they would argue. Why isn't there an Elves advent calendar, the theme lends itself perfectly to a Christmas theme and would solve my problem.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Friends 2016 advent calendar We are only on day two and already find it frustrating. The pictures inside each door do not correspond with what is inside so we didn't even know what we were building. We couldn't find it in the picture on the box and had to look it up on the lego site to figure out what the pieces made. We think it's a table but not sure. We hope our experience gets better as the month progresses. There really should be instructions included or at least a picture telling what the pieces are.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well Within Budget and Just what we Need Mom and I agreed that instead of a Christmas tree, we would have a Christmas Lego display. Out of all the sets, only the advent calendars were within our agreed-upon budget. In a choice between Friends and Star Wars, we all agreed on the Friends calendar because those are the Legos I have and use (I'm the big Lego fan in the family--though my dad introduced me when I was a kid). I'm not really crazy about the outfit/character combinations. I think Naomi's outfit would be better on Maya, and Emma's outfit would be better on Mia. So I'll be changing it up on our display with other Lego pieces. Given the reviews stated above, I would not recommend this set to START your journey into the world of Lego Friends. However, if you are like me and already into Lego Friends, then I recommend this as an addition to your collection.
