Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Ghostbusters - Firehouse Headquarters (75827) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 95.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved the details I am 94 years old and have been building Legos for the past two years after seeing a wonderful display of Legos at the Columbus Museum. When I was younger I built legos with my two grandsons but then was busy working until I was 90. I have built all the Victorian looking buildings offered as well as the London Tower Bridge and the Ferris Wheel. The last two have been the Brick Bank and The Firehouse Headquarters. I have my own gallery in my lower level. I have also built the entire Christmas Village. I have always worked with my hands, being a sewer, a knitter and a craft person. What I love about all of the buildings are the intricate inner parts. This is particularly true of the Firehouse. Please create some more Victorian building kits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from That's a big block of LEGO! Let's be honest here. The instant we all saw the GHostbusters HQ we knew it would dent our wallets. After buying Ecto-1 it was a no brainier set to come next. (So much so that long before the Ideas version was submitted this one was, no doubt, in development.) First up that's a BIG box that it comes in. And, in a first for me, along with the many many bags of bits there were two other boxes in there that would not have been inconciquential sets in their own right!! The build took me a week of evenings on average getting through two bag numbers a night. And while I wouldn't say it was overly tricky this is a long build so you need to brake it down to avoid brick burn-out. While the floors are modular. (Mainly sitting on smooth plates with just a few locator studs, I did find it odd that the side wall (the one that opens) was not hinged all the way up. The roof is hinged and a single unit, but the first and second floor have their opening walls as separate modules that can lift out (in normal play these are held in place by the roof component. ). I would have preferred that each floor was a single contained unit. The detail is amazing through out. From the brickwork on the ground floor to the bathroom (Complete with a bog-roll and some worrying stains!!!). Easily one of the most complete and accurate playsets out there. The only real disappointment is that you can not fit Ecto-1 all the way inside and have the doors closed.... The set would have only needed to be just a few studs longer to accomadte her fully. I personally feel this is a bit of a shame.. It would have altered the outer proportions slightly and also added to the already heady brickcount of 4634pcs but I really would have liked to have her in there with the doors closed (ok you wouldn't be able to open them with Ecto-1 in place, and would have had to employ the side doors to get her in and out but I for one would have put up with that.. The mini figs are great and big step up on the Ecto-1 crew, and the others are equally as good. Though the star has to be the post slimed Venkman. All in all a very nice set indeed. I'm most happy with my purchase. All I have to do now is re-arrange the display space to accommodate it..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Who ya gonna call? If you like Ghostbusters and Lego you will love this. It's the best Lego set I have ever built. It's well worth the money. Peter Venkmann has new hair and has been slimed. It's a huge sized set with lots of great details. My favorite bits include the laboratory, kitchen & the number of mini figures you get in the set. I am 11 years old and built it without any help from adults. I also love the firemans pole, it is very cool to see the minifigures sliding down it. Awesome set Lego !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brillaint detail. I bought this set for my 9 years birthday and he was over the moon with it. Due to the difficulty level of the set the job was left to me to build which was challenging but worth it. Very detailed throughout expect for the back of the building which my son commented on saying it was a shame due to the detail in the rest of the building. Disappointed that the ecto-1 did not fit in the doors. Never the less both my sons have enjoyed this set and are impressed with all the added extras inside and out. Only one issue was there could have been more support on the top level of the building such as more hinges. (also a piece was missing when getting to the last hurdle of attaching the pole which was disappointing.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING SET A MUST BUY This set is a great example of how LEGO can really get details of any type of theme. Even though the Ghostbuster Theme only has 2 sets this really adds on to the whole LEGO arsenal. It the largest LEGO set you can buy at the moment surpassing the LEGO Death Star by 600 pieces!!! This set includes all of the references from both Ghostbusters movie from the dancing toaster to the big red button on Janine's desk. I don't like how every level has jumpers holding them together. This can lead to warping of the plates. I would recommend when moving it hold it under both base plates. Weighing 13 pounds overall this set really brings out the comedy and all of the references of the Ghostbusters films. I would really like to see LEGO make the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. Great set good for the money and it has endless possibilities. Finally LEGO is proving that their motto really is: "Only the best is good enough"
