Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO Hero Factory - SURGE (44008) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from SURGE Brain Attack i really like this model. surge has had some ok models in previous sets but i am pleased to get him as a larger model. what i like: -body Armour & its clamps -surge head - visor -jet pack kit -weapon -small drone accessory what i dislike: -the fact that the visor and head have been slightly designed a bit out of shape but that's not a huge matter to me. i love hero factory and i love surges new model for brain attack. looking forward to invasion from below this year in 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surge I am pleased with this Surge and will list what I liked and didn't like about it. Likes: - New mask - Visor - New electrical weapon pieces - Generally tall - Well covered - Jet pack - drone/armor piece - New transparent dark blue armor pieces Dislikes: - Visor doesn't fit as well on the mask - Visor doesn't look good on the sides on Surge's mask because part of the eyes aren't covered by the visor. This is the set I was most excited about getting and it met my expectations. I liked how they were going for his more original color scheme with blue, silver, and some yellow. I found out you can attach the wings in a slightly different easy way so that the wings won't go up or down and stay put. So it is nice to have that option if you don't want the wings moving. The weapon is decent but I dislike how green is mixed into the blue and yellow color of the electricity pieces because it doesn't look "electrical" to me. Overall, I am very happy with this figure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Electric Gun Flying Mage! In Role Playing Games, there is the person who uses magic to protect people and that person is called The Mage. Thankfully, Lego has turned Mark Surge into that person! Mark Surge has his original color scheme as usual (Blue, silver , and yellowish green). He is all covered in armor and has an electric, sword, staff, gun that shoots electricity. It has a cool spinning action to it, making it look like he's shooting it. He also comes with a drone from Stormer XL set. I thought it was his shield (you know, the everyone with a shield thing Lego was doing) and it could be used as one. He also comes with a jet pack that uses William Furno XL shield parts, which makes it wings (it's a wing shield!). It also comes with flick fire missiles that you can shoots by flicking with your fingers. It also uses two green lasers (Lego Star Wars light saber blades) as his fuel for flying, which doesn't make sense because you need fire to fly not lasers (so Lego should have replaced the pieces with fire pieces instead). His visor is yellowish green and it has printing on it, which gives it detail. Now to sum up with Pros and Cons! Pros: Color Scheme Electric Gun (or sword staff). Jet pack. Drone Shield. Transparent armor. Visor with printing. Two hands! Taller than his normal height. Cons: Lasers as fire. Shield pieces as wings. No equipment on his left hand. Flick fire missiles are not effective on big enemies. Overall, this set is really cool! Surge is The Mage of this season! Thanks for watching! See you later!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Surge Ever This is the best Surge yet even if there is one or two issues. The other Surges have been simple but this one has more pieces, and a good design with the wings and missiles. He also comes with a spinning electricity shooter and a drone. His pieces are good colors as well. Pros printed visor wings with missiles translucent blue armor spinning electricity shooter, like Pyrox's flame shooter drone Cons eyes don't mach up with visor

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing This, in my opinion, is the best Surge ever! He hasn't got a complex build, but the end result is fantastic. He's so playable! Surge has got an epic folding jetpack with missiles, a cool printed visor that opens and a spinning lightning weapon! Surge's colour scheme is brilliant and really blends well and doesn't clash. The only problem I have is that there is an unsightly visible gap between the visor and the helmet on the side of the head, but it doesn't really matter. Pro's Awesome looking figure Great colour scheme Folding jetpack with missiles Spinning lightning weapon Cool looking helmet Opening visor Con's Gap between helmet and visor Overall, Surge is an amazing figure. And at such a good price, there's no reason you shouldn't get him!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Certainly the best Surge yet. Pros: -A more solid one-handed spinning weapon than seen on Bulk. -The blue, green and (especially) the small traces of yellow look great. -Wings look great and can also be used on other heroes. I found that they work perfectly on Evo. Cons: -Can't really wield his weapon with both hands, which would've been nice. -Very simplistic arm armor. Would like to see some yellow spikes or something like that. -Doesn't have all that many poses that he, as a whole, looks good in.
