Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Scooby Doo - Mystery Mansion (75904) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Haunted House for a Lego City! Growing up with Scooby Doo makes having the gang in Lego form an absolute delight. I intend on displaying this set in my City as a haunted mansion, and I must say it stands out beautifully. Fans will not be disappointed, as this unique set is so true to the original material. BUILD: 4/5 The build is taller than expected; the central tower feels the right height to intimidate the minifigs. The exterior is very nicely decorated to feel abandoned and sketchy, but in a cartoonish way. Where it falls short is in the interior: the ideas are good (a greenhouse, a kitchen, an attic, the vampire's clocktower), but there is limited space for the minifigs to interact with the interior. You'll have to rely on imagination for those classic hallway chases between the villains and our heroes. MINIFIGS: 5/5 I would have given it a 4 for not including Fred, but let's be honest: even if he had been included, fans would not have had a complete gang without the Mystery Machine, so this doesn't disappoint me (I would've liked different Shaggy and Scooby between the 2 sets, but that's another story). The hero minifigs are amazing, as they are as close to the original characters as possible, with custom hairpieces, two faces for everyone, and very detailed print on the leg for the gals. The villains are great too, specially because their secondary face reveals the true person behind the disguise; excellent hint to the original Scooby Doo. OVERALL: 4.5 This set is worth it's price. If you, like me, appreciate sets that are locations over more frequent vehicle-based sets, you will enjoy this one. For Scooby Doo fans, whether for display or play or both, it holds true to the cartoon and allows for younger imaginations to create their own mysteries with the given hints and locations, so you will delight with it. Excellent design and enjoyable build, just wish there had been as much detail on the inside as the outside (see Ninjago's Temple of Airjitzu interiors; yes, it is more expensive, but with a 100 pieces more and a retail of 10 USD more it could be done). All in all the pros outweigh the cons on this one for me. SUMMARY: Get if you're into location-based sets and/or are a Scooby fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best theme sets overall My wife loves Scooby Doo but never had any Lego. I bought her this and the rest of the collection for her birthday this year. Not only did she build them, but she displays them in her office. Thank you for making the perfect set for me to share my hobby with my wife.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a cartoon, but in a good way I picked up this set in order to complete the gang. The quickest way to doing so requires purchasing this and the Mystery Machine. After building all the components of the set, I was overall pleased with the outcome. The minifigs are all great. You have Scooby and Shaggy, which come in all sets. Then, you get Daphne, whose hairpiece is quite large, but true to the cartoon. Velma is so far exclusive to this set. All of the members of the gang are true to their cartoon appearance. You get three monsters/bad guys in disguise, all three of which are derived from the classic original Scooby Doo series. The Black Knight is well done with the creepy eyes. The vampire is that of the classic expectation of what one should look like, and the ghost is very nice with its glow in the dark feature. The unmasked villians are on the opposite side of the monster heads. Needless to say, this is a nice assortment. There is a motorcycle vehicle with sidecar in the Mystery Machine colors. You can detach the sidecar to end up with a turquoise blue motorbike if you wish. The house itself is well done to give it a cartoony spooky experience true to the theme of the series. If you like purple, there are plenty of assorted parts in that color, including door panels. Be prepared for lots of stickers, most of which are applied to the window pieces to enhance detail. The clock face is also made from the stickers. The mansion itself is made of a greenhouse, entry way, kitchen, room with a safe, and the tower assembly. There is a booby trap in the entryway, a rotating feature which makes the vampire appear to change into a bat, a man eating plant (kind of like Little Shop of Horrors), a treasure map, a key, and maybe some treasure. If you are looking for a Halloween themed setup, this could be an excellent choice due to the spooky house, monsters, and two of the new jack-o-lantern pieces included. Overall, I would easily recommend this to kids fond of the show, nostalgic seeking adult fans like myself, and those who desire a Halloween themed Lego set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set! I'm loving the Scooby Doo sets! Even though not a big fan of Scooby Doo myself, I am loving these sets. The mansion is my favourite Scooby Doo set so far. You get a great selection of minifigures and a lot of play features. For £69.99, its pretty good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Let the nostalgia begin! I have been a long time Lego and Scooby Doo fan, and from the moment I heard that LEGO had acquired the license, I knew I was going to get all of the sets. This was the second set from the series I had built, with the first being The Iconic Mystery Machine. Because the instructions are setup in an easy to follow manner, and the bags are numbered, my 6 year old sister (Who really wanted to help) never encountered any problems with the build. Personally, I love how simple while "cartoony" this set feels, and the figures are incredible and accurate to the original show. It really does bring back the nostalgia of staying up late while watching the original Scooby Doo cartoons.
