Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Star Wars™ Constraction - General Grievous™ (75112) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 39.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 'I Have Been Trained in your Jedi Arts' Out of the whole first range of Star Wars build-able figures, I think General Grievous is one of the best. To start off with he is massive! The picture doesn't do justice to just how big he is. General Grievous is also very movie accurate and his design and proportions are amazing. Due to his size, General Grievous is also one of the most challenging figures to build but the finished model is worth the effort. His pose-ability is great although not without limits. It can be a bit hard trying to get him in a pose that's stable as the model is quite heavy. His head-piece is awesome and captures the character perfectly and accurately to the movie. The chest-piece has brilliant printing, showing both Grievous's armour and his organs underneath. The design of how his arms can connect together and come apart is fabulous and means he can wield his famous 4 lightsabers. It would have been cool if Grievous could have come with his cape for added movie accuracy. His pose-ability is great and if you have the Obi Wan Kenobi figure then you can act out all the battle scenes from Revenge of the Sith. General Grievous is a brilliant figure and definitely one to add to any Star Wars collection!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Absolute Best Size, shape, stance... Doesnt get any better. General Grievous is the best figure of the year. The figure features moving joints even on the shoulders. The figure is among the biggest LEGO has ever released, and this one excells at bringing to you the absolute potencial of the CCBS system. Pretty much everything is attached to ball joints, but the building felt very creative and fresh. The mix between black and gray pieces allow for a varied color scheme throughout the figure, while few tan armor plates really knit the set together. For $35 you get a big, heavy, highly resemblant and very well designed figure. The only flaw this set has comes from its ankles. Because of the way they are designed, the feet are fixed to the lower legs, greatly reducing posability. It bothers me that this small flaw shows up every time you try to stand the figure, and it annoys me even more when you can solve it with 1 additional piece on both sides. Besides this small problem, the figure is perfect. Get it! Once you build it you will understand how and why this is the best set of its kind. And how can you not, General Grievous is one of the coolest villains of the Star Wars universe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from General Grievous is ready for action! The Malevolence (9515) has proudly graced my shelf for years and when I saw this set I could not wait to add it to my collection. Once finished he is rather intimidating; the style of these sets seems to suit Grievous especially well. The set has some very unique pieces that come together to give Grievous remarkable flexibility that can be used for several poses. It takes a bit of practice to pose him and keep him balanced, but the reward is well worth the effort. The lightsaber blades are made of a slightly flexible rubber material rather than a hard plastic, making them much more durable. The headpiece is a spot on representation and the fact that the arm pairs are designed to connect is an excellent (and accurate) feature. This is an excellent set overall. Be patient when learning to pose him and you will be rewarded.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, Huge, and Well Worthy of Praise General Grievous is by far one of the absolute *best* sets to come out this year (If Bionicle hadn't come out it'd be *the* best set). First off the thing is an absolute Monster, Grievous absolutely TOWERS over the majority of the other figures, outside of Witch Doctor this is one of the biggest sets using CCBS, standing at nearly 13" (compared to Tahu from the Bionicle line at 8"). The best thing about this is how much care seems to have gone into this set, I particularly am a fan of the Legs, they absolutely distinguish Grievous' build from any other Character using CCBS and still retain mobility and functionality. Well Done. The figure actually is strikingly close to Grievous and IMHO is the best translation of any of the Star Wars characters to Constraction sets. He even comes with the ability to close his arms together like the real character (SUPERB JOB!) Overall Grievous is downright AWESOME and incredibly well done. I really hope to see more figures like this and of this size, not just in the Star Wars line (eg. Pong Krell or Savage Opress, Robot Legs Darth Maul) but in any Constraction line like Chima (if it's continuing) or Bionicle (cough cough hint cough, Villains cough Makuta cough or Brutaka cough cough). Any how I digress, Grievous is a shining example of the Lego Development team at it's best. Awesome to own and well worth the 34-36$ (40$ with tax and all that). 5/5 stars

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Figure!! By far the best looking and most resemblant of the bunch. Super fun to "BUILD" a action figure with such functionality and resemblance to actual character. Wish I could have had such awesome action figures when I was a kid, luckily they are just as cool as an adult. Must have for all Star Wars and Lego fans alike. Had to get Obi-Wan to complete the look which I think everyone should with getting either figure. I attached a couple pictures in the pose I think looks the best. Enjoy, and go get you sweet buildable action figures now.
