Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO Star Wars Clone Turbo Tank is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'd been looking forward to this item as perhaps the only attractive product in the June Star Wars line up, for me personally. Although the Turbo Tank only features for perhaps 10 seconds of the actual star wars films, rolling past in the background of the Kashyyyk battle in Revenge of the Sith, it has a very memorable design and this set allows you to create that scene again; more plausibly if you have the Kashyyyk troopers battlepack to add a few more olive clone troops. This particular lego item really fits into the category of 'toys I wish I could send back in time to my younger self', as it's extremely capacious inside and has numerous compartments from end-to-end to store figures, guns and equipment. The childhood- play value with sets like this is extremely high; loading and offloading the troops; seeing which other smaller vehicles you can fit inside etc. Additionally the way the wheels are articulated in pairs, with the middle set on suspension/springs, allows them to move on their axis independently of the other wheels, which creates a surprisingly good visual effect when rolled along an uneven surface like a sofa; it genuinely comes across as a robust, all terrain vehicle and I can imagine children particularly having fun in this way. Ultimately I buy Lego now purely to assemble and display, as I find it aesthetically pleasing and relaxing to arrange into scenes on my bookshelves. So to finish: this is definitely the highlight of this Star Wars release wave, simultaneously being an extremely good 'toy' with an impressive array of figures and also a prime display piece, detailed enough to stand next to a USC line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite set!!! Minifigures- I loved the minifigures included in this set. I liked both clone troopers, especially commander gree. I liked how we got two jedi and the two battle droids. The minifigure selection was great and I loved playing with the minifigures however I would have preffered if you added one or two super battle droids. Clone Walker: I love this walker and it is really fun to play with and it is a great build. I also love how it can fold up into the clone turbo tank. Clone Turbo Tank: I loved everything about the clone turbo tank. I could not find one flaw in it. I love how there is something in the clone turbo tank so that it is easy to carry and I like how you can open everything up. Suggestions: Make more revenge of the sith and attack of the clones sets!!!!!!! I would love to see a battle pack with some clones or battle droids or just any type of republic vehicle. I was super happy to get this set and I hope you make more republic sets. Scores: Figures: 24/25 clone walker: 24/25 clone turbo tank: 50/50 total score 98/100

Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS SET IS DA BOMB!!!!!!!!!!!! I have to say when I got this set by the size of the box I was a little worried it would be too small but it was PERFECT!!!!!! I have been waiting for a new turbo tank so I could add it to my kashyyyk MOC. This is my first turbo tank and the others did not look as good as this one. It is definitely in my top five star wars sets. THIS SET WAS MADE FOR STAR WARS EPISODE III FANS!!!!!! The minifigs were AMAZING we got a new Luminara and Quinlan Vos! Along with Commander Gree an Elite Corps Clone Trooper and two battle droids. I would recommend it to ANY star wars fan. The play features make it so you can play for hours. If you have the kashyyyk trooper battle pack and this set it is great for army building. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT!!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Turn those clankers into scrap metal! This is a good set by itself, but it's very good for star wars/ clone wars collectors. It's very durable and has many play features. The thing I was most excited about was the wheels and they did not disappoint in the slightest. I would have given this five stars if it weren't for a few things. The first thing is that the clone trooper helmets are too tall. They look awkward and they can't even use the binoculars included in the set (not without taking off their helmets). The visors are above their eyes and I wish they kept with the old design of these clones. The second thing is that the four blue spring-loaded blasters attached to the side of the vehicle constantly go off during play. This could be solved by taking the blasters off, but then a piece of the set would be missing. The last thing is that the droids are heavily outmatched. It would have made more sense if one of the jedi were replaced with another droid, like a super battle one or something. There doesn't seem to be enough of those. Anyways, it has nice texture and shaping to the whole thing, and would recommend it to a someone wanting to make a clone army.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkable Set I've wanted a clone tank for a long time and missed the previous versions of this set and its relatives. So when I got this I was very excited, and was not disappointed when the build was complete. It is a fairly detailed model, with headlights, patterning, fixtures, an elevating turret, and so forth. However it has been noticeably downsized from the behemoths shown in episode three, and I was annoyed to find you can only fit four minifigures inside the tank ( three in the front cockpit one in the back ) . The central compartment where you would presume to find troops in waiting, is retrofitted exclusively to fit the miniature AT-RT. This can be fixed by attaching pieces to the sides of the tank to be used as seats. My other problem was that there is no logical way to enter the tank without pretending your characters can all force jump. In the Star Wars cross sections book you see a ramp extending from the back cockpit, and the hatch that opens in the back is an attempt to replicate that, but it doesn't reach anywhere near the ground. The other flaw with entering in the back is that lego placed a storage compartment (which is actually quite useful) between the back cockpit and the main body, which means all the minifigures that enter through the back will be stuck in a one person cockpit. Despite these flaws I have thoroughly enjoyed playing with this set and love its play features. The character choice was phenomenal Luminara and Gree leaders of the Green Company paired with Quinlan Vos and a Green Company trooper, make for a very compatible republic force. I appreciate the inclusion of the miniature AT-RT and think it is the ideal vehicle to oppose the battle droids, ( which makes the tank feel like overkill ) . Overall this set is one of the most versatile and useful in my collection (particularly since a vehicle much like it was used as a prison transport in Rogue One ) .
