Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Super Heroes - Batman™ Classic TV Series – Batcave (76052) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Holy Wayne Manor! Okay again I am a hopeless Batman who spends more time thinking about Batman than my own girlfriend (Take that as you wish) So when I saw the first image of this set I has already mentally bought it. I grew up watching Adam West play a middle aged well nourished Batman with his Mid 30's "Boy" Wonder but never-the-less this set filled me with joy. It speaks to all Batman fans young and old! I know the price is steep and many younger Lego acolytes may not be able to afford this but you have to agree what you get makes it all worth while. Looking at what you get in the set is pretty remarkable! The Batmobile, Batcopter and the Batbike are all remarkably well made and to perfect scale. I was also extremely impressed with the detail of all of the accessories and bits-and-bobs from the Batcomputer to the Wayne Manor Detailing and even the many bats hanging around the place. The set fits together very well with the cave detail really standing out! I was impressed with the outer building facade too which lets you create those lovely ( if not very cheesy and regular) scenes of Bats and Robin scaling a building!. Another important feature of this set is the very fulfilling feature of revealing the poles and ability to have Bats and Robin slide down the poles after changing (spine tingling stuff). The thing I love about this set more than anything is the selection of Minifigures! you have them all from the classic Joker with Caesar Romeros faint moustache to the flabby built of the Bat-West Figure. The only downside of this set is Bat-Girl would have been a good addition and you need a large area to store it just because of the sheer size and the structures could secure together better but other than that I have to say well done Lego! So quickly run to your Batcomputer and buy it! you don't wanna let Batman down do you?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliving my childhood favorite! Incredible detail and a beautiful display piece full of nostalgia. All I need now is a '66 Batgirl with her Batcycle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun, if not challenging time Overall, the experience with building was enjoyable, if not a bit annoying when some pieces looked too similar to other. The parts of the cave were built over several nights. My brother and I enjoyed looking at the ways we could change and adjust the components to fit to our needs. We are excited to incorporate it into our existing sets.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Mixed Bag Something about this set does not sit right with me. There are some very cool things about it, for example the Batmobile is well done, as is the Wayne Manor library, and the many neat little bits for the detective lab. There are a couple of fun play features, but overall the visual look of the set seems haphazard and "cheap" despite the high piece count. The worst part is the huge plain "wall" where the dynamic duo rappel down into the bat cave. It is just ugly to look at. Even if you just wanted to play with it, it is unappealing and takes you out of the moment by just how amateur it looks. Strangely enough, Lego undersells the reverse side of the wall which is a very nice 2d representation of the Wayne Manor exterior. It's not functional per se , but it looks way better than the side they choose to advertise. They did a nice job with including details in the study and here and there but it still just seems incomplete to me. The Batmobile doesn't fit right under the helipad/garage either. Overall, while the piece count suggests a fair deal, I think Lego could have done a better job with this one.
