Ratings & Reviews+

LEGO® Super Heroes - Super Hero Airport Battle (76051) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 35.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super fun set for any Marvel fans I was kind of iffy of getting this set, because I already own an avenger's jet. But at the end, I found a local private seller for a decent price, and had to pick this up for my son (main because of the Giant man). I had to build this together with my son as he needed help, but he was able to build most of it himself. Once the set is completed, it looks awesome, and it has a lot of play features in it. The little mini ant man is a nice touch, it is amazing how much details Lego has put in their playsets now. Pros: - Amount of mini figures included - GIANT MAN!! and mini ant man - play functionality Cons: - Price, as it is towards the more expensive side - another Avengers jet Overall, i would recommend this set if you are a Marvel fan

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warning: Quinjets smaller than they appear Another awesome build in the Marvel Line for Lego. The tower may be kind of a side build for the set, but it is substantial and would serve well in a Lego city or other display. Giant-Man is done very well, made to be as much like an actual minifig as possible. Something I didn't expect but enjoyed very much was the labels for the suitcases and packages. 2 of the suitcases have "Wakanda" and "Sokovia" stickers respectively, and the 3 packages are labeled with either Stark Industries, Hammer Tech, or A.I.M. logos. The figure selection is very good, but could have done with, say, Vision to even out the numbers between the teams, as in this set, Cap, Bucky, Agent 13, Ant/Giant-Man, and Scarlet Witch outnumber Iron Man and War Machine. The one gripe I do have is that the Quinjet is a good bit smaller than it appears, and has very little minifigure room inside. It fits a function where a stud shooter flips down, but I personally am not into such interactive play functions, so I spent a good 2 hours today tearing the ship apart and widening the bay (was too narrow for figures), removing the function, and overall bettering (sorry, Lego) the design. I also replaced the stud shooter on War Machine's back with the same gun that Bucky has in this set, a claw element, and a single-stud back clip. This is slightly more movie-accurate for those of you out there who prefer cosmetic appeal over playability. Pros: Terrific figure detailing, particularly Iron Man's torso and Bucky's arm satisfying Giant-Man build well-done airport tower Movie-referencing packages Cons: Small quinjet Whopping 27 stickers (not a big issue for me, but many don't appreciate this)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All right could be better Disappointments: where that there were only two team Iron man characters and also the quinjet was very small compared to the Age of Ultron quinjet set and they should have included a regular size ant man the Luggage cart had really no purpose at all Agent 13 bla bla not very good. The good stuff: The tower had very good playability and giant ant man is awesome captain america same as Age of Ultron scarlet witch updated with a new skirt piece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from "You have a metal arm? That's awesome, dude!" Finally, I got the last set in the Captain America Civil War wave. And it is amazing. I'm going to structure this as I do all of my reviews, and work through the set by minifigures and then by builds. Captain America: 3/5 Cap's a great minifigure to have, but I'm honestly tired of the Age of Ultron Suit, and wish we could get the Civil War version, which has less red on the torso. I'm also a bit bummed that the dark red shield has not been seen since Captain America's Avenging Cycle in 2012. Either way, I'm pleased to add another Cap to my collection. Winter Soldier: 5/5 Same as in the Black Panther Pursuit, and still just as amazing. I love the print on the vibranium arm! Scarlet Witch: 5/5 This minifigure is amazing. I love the hairpiece, which I think is new in this color, and it looks awesome on the minifig. The new torso print is really cool, matching perfectly with her outfit she will be wearing in the movie. The waist cape piece is spectacular! I love the effect that this adds to the minifigure. Possibly the best minifigure in the set. War Machine: 3/5 I feel that this minifigure was not done as well as it could have been. The armor printing and helmet are amazing, but the head really draws from the quality of the minifigure. Why is this Cyborg's head from DC comics? Back in 2013, LEGO released a head specifically for War Machine and the Iron Patriot, but that head did not show up again, and I'm kinda bummed. Looks like I'm gonna have to order a War Machine Mk 2 minifig. Agent 13: 4/5: This minifigure is really cool, but I think the head is a bit off. This may just be me, but It doesn't make the best minifigure in my collection. Iron Man Mk 46: 3/5 LEGO really let go a great opportunity to make a spectacular minifig here. The new armor in the movie looks great, and LEGO rehashed the Mk 43's legs and face mask. It looks decent on the minifig, but if you look at the actual armor from the movie, it's way off. The torso however is really cool. My minifigure total: 25/30 Giant Man: 7/5 This build is awesome! It looks just like the Ant-Man minifigure from 2015, just scaled up and brick built. It's amazing. the full articulation makes it extremely pose able, and it works great for display, or play. The Microfig also included is really well detailed as well, and makes for a great addition to the Ant-Man set of figs. The Tower and Truck: 4/5 I like the concept of these. The truck is very simple, with a basic catapult for throwing suitcases. The ground floor of the tower has a really cool function for Ant-man to explode some boxes. The next floor explodes the walls, with use of some basic technic builds. The control room though is the best part, with some great detailing. I really like the sticker on the door, it looks great. Quinjet: 1/5 This quinjet may look good, but that's all it has running for it. The thing is 1/4 the size of the quinjet last year, and is a lot blockier. The stud shooter function takes up all of the space inside, making it so the only minifigures you can put inside are in the cockpit. I understand that the jet was designed to fit in with the rest of the set at a reasonable price point, but a two bag build, for a quinjet? seriously? The one last year was five or six, if I recall correctly. Overall for builds: 12/15.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Super Hero Airport Battle is a new classic that combines really interesting builds with great characterization and play possibilities. First off, I have to talk about the Giant Man. Building Giant Man was one of the most fun builds that we have ever completed. When you are finished, you literally have a giant Lego minifigure. It has the proportions, poseability, and feel of a Lego minifigure, just magnified to giant proportions! The crafting the headpiece alone is a masterful arrangement of bricks. So much fun! The airport tower has some very nice breakaway elements that can be blasted apart during a super-powered melee. The top section has a some really nice angles in it as well, showcasing some very nice techniques for getting shapes that are more octagonal than square. I don't fully understand the addition of the floating fence element, as it seems out of place with the rest of the model. It would have been better to perhaps enhance that wall element a bit. The cargo vehicle is on the smaller side, but it just the right size for Giant Man to pick up and provide a mega-sized wallop! I loved all the little suitcases and their movie-centric stickers. The Avengers Quinjet is a more compact version than we've seen in the past, although it stays true to the basic design. The blue and gray really looks sharp together and it well sized and compact for play with smaller hands. The bottom mounted gun cannons are not the most interesting play-feature, and look a little out of place on the model when deployed. They do however make the jet very fearsome for encounters with the bad (or other good) guys! This set comes with a very nice assortment of minifigures, including many of the big players in Civil War. My son's favourite was War Machine, although I really like the addition of Scarlett Witch. Without any other superhero sets, this one leaves you with a great little collection of Avengers for future missions (when they are not battling each other, that is)! Overall this was a very fun set to build and play with, and a must-have for Avengers fans.
