Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, Flexible Workout I recently purchased 2 Leslie Sansone workouts- this one and her Ultimate 5 Day Walk Plan (purchased in store)- and I have to say this one is far and away the better of the two. There are 10 mini-walk's and 3 pre-selected walks using those mini-walks (Advanced, Fun & Complete Body). The mini-walk's are a little deceptive in that, with the exception of Light Walk and Flexibility Walk, you can't just dive in and ten minutes later you're done. Light Walk is the warm up walk which you are expected to do before the other walks (though it does work very well as a quickie walk on its own) and you are expected to end your walk using Flexibility Walk so while these are supposed to be 10 minute walks that's not realistic. I haven't done all of the mini's yet however, for the ones I have: Interval Walk was good however, her Walk Indoors Interval! is much tougher- these are 30 second interval's where you will jog up, jog in place, jog back. You'll feel it but you won't fall apart afterward. Dance Walk: the dance part of this is mambo's and cha-cha footwork. I am NOT coordinated but using rewind a few times I was able to muddle through and feel a little more confident about doing it next time. It's one of those things where I'll do it but I won't necessarily go looking for it to do. Light Walk: it is. It's a nice light walk which, as I've mentioned, is the warm-up but also works as a stand alone. Leslie mentions that you won't need to shower after and that's exactly right- I would feel comfortable not doing a cool down after this walk. It just gets you up and moving. Walk, Kick + Jab Walk: Again, I'm not coordinated and this did require some coordination but I managed for the most part. I felt like the emphasis was on punching so kind of think of this as more of an upper body workout. ( The pre-selected Fun Walk is made up of Light Walk, Dance Walk, Walk Kick + Jab and Flexibility Walk. ) Brisk + Steady Walk was just what it says- you aren't going to be sweating buckets at the end of it but you're going to know you've been walking. Tummy Trimmer Walk: Really enjoyed this one. Changed up some of the basic steps in creative ways and I think I will come back to this one often as I've caught myself incorporating those changes into other walks. Flexibility Walk: this is the cool down and I really like it. I'm already using it with other workouts because these stretches are fantastic. Usually Leslie's cool down's consist of arms over your head 3 times, stretch hamstrings each side arms over your head twice more- not this one. This one is really good. The down side for me is that there's no walk meter (or countdown clock for that matter)- I really like to have one- and while I really enjoy Flexibility Walk I don't feel like I can count it toward my mileage total so I end up doing another short walk after. I try to commit to walking 3 miles a day and I can easily see myself coming back to these segments as part of that as well as mixing them in with other Leslie Sansone workouts I have.

A friend gave me my first Leslie Sansone DVD recently and it is already helping me get active in just the right speed and level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great walking workouts & variety ! I love all of Leslie's walking workouts! This one gives you 10 different 10 minutes workouts that can be customized in any way you like. I like that I can do an intense workout or on days I am tired, an easy walk followed up with Leslie's flexibility walk, which is perfect for stretching.
