The TV that I purchased this LG product for is just a bedroom TV, so I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This LG sound bar is 10% of the cost of one of them and 50% less than the other. The LG's sound is just as good as the more expensive ones. I wish I had known this before!

Have no idea why I took so long to make this purchase. I have been so happy with it, I will be purchasing a larger one for the television in the family room.

Made a Wonderful Difference

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace a high dollar surround that was 15 years old (that old unit took over 5 hours to hook up too). The sound of my LG TV is OK, I just wanted a little more sound clarity. I was so surprised that it was a plug and play item. 3 MINUTES!! YES, it took a total of 3 minutes to hook up and it sounds GREAT! The price was fantastic, for under $100 it is the best value on the market. I enjoy the compatibility of LG products, I wish everything was this easy. Thank you for making great products that are affordable and easy to install.

Great Value and Easy Install

I've used it for almost a week now and I feel it's worth the money I paid. It resolved my problem as the volume on my new TV (Samsung DU-6900) is not loud enough and I needed a sound bar to amplify sounds, especially when watching movies. It gives a clearer and louder (not too loud) sound than the TV speakers. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase.

Great sound Improvement!

EZ to install and great sound for less then $100.00. I have an LG TV that I hooked it up to with a Firestick so it took a little adjusting between the TV and Firestick to get it right but well worth the effort.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an inexpensive sound bar, easy to install and use with an LG television.  Comes with a short digital optical cable.  Be aware that you can use both the sound bar and the TV speakers together, but for best sound you want to use optical only.

Easy to use Sound Bar

Pretty ok for the price but I expected more from an LG product.

Not bad.

The sound was really not that much better than my tv speakers. Also the sound was not quite in sync with the tv speakers which gave a bit of an echo sound. So you would have to turn down the tv speakers to avoid the echo sound. I was really hoping to get a better sound. And no I was not expecting an earth shaking sound. In fact I have an ONN 16" sound bar on a different tv that does enhance the tv sound and without giving an echo sound.

There is little information as to how to hook up in the box.  Called LG for assistance and they transfreed me to Samsun the maker of my TV.  I would not recommend this to anyone.  The last sound bar I had was no problem to hook up and get working. Last advice LG gave me was to return the sound bar to store from which purchased. Poor customer service on all levels from LG.
