Awesome! A little challenging to put together, but worth it in the end. Be sure to use sand for the base in potentially windy areas, putting it on the lowest height setting to avoid it tipping over and damaging the unit.

Had it for 9 months, really good goal for the price.  I had a little issue putting it together, may need 2 people at one point, but very good purchase!

only used the backboard and rim parts (and some of the hardware) as a replacement for an older swimming pool setup that had gotten old 

did not use the base part - it's big and plastic (you fill it with water/sand) and might have a use - I'm going to try sell it on Craig's List or Facebook - also didn't use the bottom plastic protector parts (they are super meh), I just cut a pool noodle lengthwise and put it around the bottom of the board

going to prob use the poles (they're over on the right of the photo) as umbrella stands or whatever - they're pretty decent black painted metal maybe 3" in diameter IDK - if my current swimming pool pole had been in bad shape I probably could have used those instead

last thing, this is definitely a two-person job, unless you hate yourself - thanks for reading :)

good solid set/price, used only backboard for pool

Lifetime Basketball for the Ultimate Warrior! My son loves this court ,I had help putting it together,  the person who put it together said it took 3 days and he worked on it for about 2 and a half hours over the course of that time. If he hadn't stopped he would have been done in a day and a half, but anywho... It was then delivered to my house and the base was reattached to the court.  My son who is 14 and his little sister have been playing with it, he calls got a new ball for his new court. I like the court because you are able to adjust the backboard up to 10 ft and the lowest is 8 ft. I'm sure once you or someone else gets it together you and the person you purchased it for will definitely enjoy it. Definitely worth the price and it had a 5 year warranty to go with it!

48" Lifetime Basketball Court

I bought this at the absolute INSTANCE of my diabolical 7 yr old. I'm actually glad I did!! I'm as un-handy, un-sporty as a person can get. I have no clue what tools I used, but I put it together myself in about 3 hours over 3 days just due to other plans. Self assembly people - lay the assembled pole on a table so the basket hangs off, bracing with bricks, bags of dog food - whatever's handy - to keep it from rolling off. Have the WD40 and a pound thing ready when the giant stakes don't want to go in their holes. The only part that takes two people is standing it up at the end if you are doing the “I live in a subdivision and have to pull it into the garage sometimes to avoid a fine” 2 bags of sand on top of the actual sand holder. One would think they would've solved for this already and started offering a flat base we could just toss the bags on but whatever. 

Complaint: the backboard is not pre-drilled. I'm not drilling through both plastic and metal to attach the “safety” thingys. My kid's vertical is like 2 in so I think we're safe but seriously - pre drill that crap! I'll superglue it before I even attempt drilling. 

Overall: this piece of engineering brilliance allowed me to watch an entire episode of TV uninterrupted for the first time in who knows how long with no permanent damage to my house!! WIN!!!

WD40, a Table, and you. Totally do-able!

Great product for the price.  I bought it for a 10 year old just starting basketball and wanted the adjustable feature to move it to 9 ft.  The adjustable feature is awesome.  It shakes a little bit more than you might want when the ball hits the backboard.  The only way to avoid that is to buy a much more expensive hoop or one cemented into the ground.  
The other comments about the difficult assembly are true.  I put it together over two days, about an hour and a half each day.  There are bolts that are extremely hard to tighten and likely you will end up loosening them again at future steps to fit pieces in place.  The step where the backboard is attached to the pole requires balancing the hoop at a difficult angle to orient properly to the pole.  That step should probably be done before building the entire pole and base.  The coating they put on parts makes some of the holes slightly too small, so you have to grind them out to fit the bolts through. Drilling the metal backboard to attach plastic pieces is dangerous and can splinter a drill bit.
It's a bad assembly but the final product is a good beginner hoop and fun to play on.

Assembling was a nightmare. It took forever and didn't come with required tools. Seems like some of it could have come already assembled and would have made the process much easier. Doesn't even have pre drilled holes for the backboard padding. I do think most of the instructions were detailed and easy to follow. We discovered that moving it without water in the base is difficult but once we filled it with water, we had more control of it. Backboard seems flimsy.

Assembling took forever (6 hours x 2 people)

Nice looking system and works as intended, but we find it very wobbly any time a shot hits the rim or backboard. Next time we will definitely go for the $400-500 range to reduce this annoyance. Also it does not feel very durable near the base.

Wobbly

Wobbly hoop. Plastic piece that holds adjustment bar in place broke after two months use. Backboard sounds flimsy anytime a ball hits it.   I've owners a lot of lifetime hoops in my day but this one was cheap

It's nice but incredibly difficult to put together. You literally have to put every single little piece in place. They don't help you at all. Pay more and buy one of those basketball hoops that has a 30 minute set up. I regret this purchase.
