The double bin composter does exactly what it is supposed to do....When I buy something and it does what it is supposed to do I have a problem leaving a review.  Why should I praise a company because their product actually does what I paid for?!?!  BUT THAT'S NOT WHY I'M LEAVING THIS REVIEW.....Lifetime has, hands down, the best customer service you will ever experience!!!! (imagine about 1,000 more "!").  I have had to call them up a few times for minor issues due to wear and tear and they have ALWAYS been extremely helpful, polite, and courteous.  There are two things I can promise you: 1. When you buy a composter, small things will start to eventually fail, and 2. No other company will stand behind their product the way Lifetime does.

I bought this two weeks ago and found there was a piece missing; I contacted the customer desk (in USA) asking for a replacement and it was shipped from the USA and arrived 5 days later. I was impressed. Rarely to I find a help desk so responsive and helpful.
Putting it together was enjoyable if you are good at DIY but it does need two people some of the time. I was very impressed by the engineering and design to allow it be be built from flat pack.

Well engineered and great service

WE bought these years ago in another part of the country. I have disassembled them and transported them many times. Whenever I need a part, the customer service staff at Lifetime always are prompt with supplying what I need. NO QUESTIONS ASKED. When they say Lifetime, they mean it.

Great Bin for a lifetime

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using these composters for over five years without any problem until recently.  The latching mechanism corroded through and bent.  I neglected to read the advisory to keep the latch upright when done turning the drums.  I called to order replacement parts to make a repair and they insisted on sending them free of charge.  Great composter and even better company.

In constant use for over five years

Not hard to assemble but one leg of the unit was not manufactured properly, causing great difficulty and delay. I had to file down this defect in order to finish the assembly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over all I am happy with the product and using over 2 months. However, it required skilled help to assemble and it took 2 people over 2 hours. Two joint strips were broken in shipment which I received from life time for replacement. The challenge is how to replace broken one with new one. Hope I get instruction from Lifettime. 
I see two issues Liftime need to improve and help me out.
1. As shown in attached photo door latch round cap cover falls off when I rotate. I put tap over it to keep it in place.
2. Pink guide on handle comes off and do not stay

Great Feature

Good compost bins.  The assembly takes considerably longer than expected, but once that arduous task is complete they work very well

Good bins, more than some assembly required

My husband is an accomplished "DIY" person and still it was a bit of a challenge to get together single-handedly. As far as "tumbling" goes, once it gets a decent amount in the bin it's a beast to spin; I think that may be due to the boxy design. We still do not have a load of compost completed (it has only been 4-6 weeks) so I cannot yet comment on that aspect of it. I do like that my stinky 'garbage' is now contained, and the tumblers aren't an eyesore like my open bin was, so in that respect I'm happy with it. The true test will be if it effectively yields lovely "black gold" as the end result.  :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this a few years ago and it worked great until a few days ago when it collapsed and the tube the barrels rotate on collapsed. All of the metal parts have significant rust on them and I have been using wd 40 on them since the beginning. The plastic parts are in fair condition and if the metal parts are available I think I could fix it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this composter few years ago and had difficult time to put it together, way too complicated and some parts seem to be low quality which are already breaking. From my personal experience I found this composter poorly designed and very difficult to put together with a short time life quality.
