Texture

I don't know very much about tempeh so don't have much to compare it with, but this stuff is great. I'm just eating it uncooked, it is so good. It's soft and reminds me of corned beef.

Tastes excellent

I love this tempeh. The texture is nice and it has a delicious smoky taste. You can eat it straight from the package or fry it lightly in oil to serve as a replacement for bacon. It gets crispy on the outside and stays moist inside. Yummy.

Tasty

These are fantastic even if your not vegan, as I am not a vegan.  Nice alternative for a plant based lunch, I make a tempeh, avocado, pea sprout and tomato sandwich with hummus.

Not just for Vegan's

I love the flavour. Product is really versatile.

Smokey Tempeh strips

Goes well with an acidic dressing.  Heat up before eating.

Good Flavor and Texture

I tried a slice of it and the package went to the trash. The taste is smoky but the lumpy texture gives me nausea. Plus sodium (34%).

As decades long consumers of vegetarian meat alternates, I have to say that this product ranks among the top five worst tasting products we have ever eaten. The texture is also terrible, making this a DON'T BUY recommendation. In spite of the hassle, it's going back to Walmart for refund as a point needs to be made.
