Linksys E2500 is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 213.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from LINKSYS e-2500 router After seeing the two negative reviews here, I feel it was time for me to tell my experience. I spent many weeks and hours online searching and reviewing routers, this one came out number one regardless of price range, I was amazed when I installed it, how fast and easy it was compared to anything else I've read about routers, I have a rather large house and there's no place this router don't have a strong signal, even out in my yard 75 feet away my laptop had a strong signal, I hope it works as good two years from now as it has for two months.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Router, Great Price! The Linksys is small and compact. It is incredibly easy to set up, and best of all, it has guest WiFi so your personal information is kept safe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from easy install Bought this unit 11/15/2015 took it home and installed it, replacing a Netgear wnda3100v2. First 3 days no loss of internet like I was experiencing with Netgear then something happened. The N600 started losing internet connection. Went from Windows 7 to 10 before all this took place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great support I've had this for almost a year and it has been trouble free. I am a senior citizen who is not tech savvvy, so I called for help to set it up. The support person was very patient and helpful.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't touch this router Junk, real junk. I choose this router thinking about Cisco brand etc. really poor and bad router, not doing basic things. I am not complaining about wireline functions - it seems to be OK, but wireless - terrible. just tested simple speedtest - while connected directly to modem - 25Mbps, as I am paying to Rogers, if I am connecting router to modem and doing the same speedtest - wireline speed is OK, but wireless - less then 2Mbps!!!! This router just not able to reproduce the inline speed, not speaking about signal strength. After 4-5 meter distance there is no signal at all, not spoking about second floor or basement. Dual-band buzzword - not really works as discribed Tried to disable the second band (5G) leaving 2.4G band only, hoping it would eliminate any signal interferences and improve signal - nothing changed, the same poor quality of wireless signal.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Probably a great router, but... We bought this router to replace a Belkin that had stopped working. Sam's only had Cisco routers, so we chose this one. Set up was easy and quick, and getting my iPad connected was no trouble at all. As I noted above, I would recommend this product to a friend but with the following caveat: When I attempted to connect my laptop from work, I could not do so. After some Google searches, I found out that there are compatibility issues relating to DHCP between some routers, including Cisco brand, and Windows Vista. If you own your computer and feel comfortable doing this on your own, you can change a registry setting to allow them to work together. I am not allowed to change registry settings on my work computer, and given that my IT department is over 2 hours away, I decided it was just easier to replace the router with a different brand. This gets 3 stars from me because, while it worked well in one instance, I should not have to change major settings on my computer just to be able to use it. [I have to give a thumbs-up to Sam's in that when I returned the router the next day (with a receipt of course), I was given no hassle and the process could not have been easier.]
