The best! I never tried this yarn before, and I was very pleasantly surprised. It is very soft and squishy and perfect for a lightweight blanket. I made my granddaughter a blanket that can be comfortable and yet not too heavy or overheating. They have beautiful colors that work out perfectly for stripes in your project. And I think it is a good value for the price. It took three yarn balls to make a medium sized throw blanket.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm quite new to sparkle yarn and it so happens I really like this variety. I hold it together with a white dk weight baby yarn because I don't have the patience for such a thin gage, and it's beautiful. My first project with a mandala sparkle got through a pre-wash before gifting and it seemed to turn out just fine. Now make more colors and as a worsted weight, Lion Brand! :)

love, but do wish it was thicker

I wish they made the same yarn a little thicker and in  bigger skeins. I would like to make an Afghan using this yarn.

I crotchet every day. I make hundreds of toboggan hats. My friend Marie comes over to do the same. I like all kinds of yarn. She loves the sparkle yarns.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the elegance of the sparkling Mandala Yarn. It is the same softness as any other Mandala and yet it stands out. I use it a lot for shawls, wraps, ponchos, jackets, etc.

Soft and Sparkly

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the sparkles in it.

Lion Brand's Mandala Sparkle DK in Dove is a beautiful choice with a soft feel and a subtle, classy sparkle that doesn't go over the top. It works up easily, making it simple to control tension, and is gentle on the skin. However, the color transitions can be a bit rough—sometimes it feels blotchy or like there's a bit of color bleeding. Like with other multicolored cakes, I had to cut the yarn to manage the color shifts, so there's a bit of wastage involved.
For small projects, experienced crafters can finish in just a few hours, and the value for the price is solid. That said, the color selection could be better. As a Lion Brand fan, I still think their 24/7 Cotton yarn is unbeatable—I actually paired it with this project, using the shade “
Beets in 24/7 Cotton, which worked beautifully!

Soft, Sparkly, and Smooth to Work With

Need more to do fringe on a blanket for 'mommy and me' gift a little thinner than expected but pretty when done

I ordered 2 skeins of yarn. You would think they would match right? NO! THEY DO NOT!!!! Can't finish my project because 2 skeins of yarn DO NOT MATCH! Frustrated you ask? YES!!!!
