If this happens, you can revive your seasoning. Be sure to lift your pan when moving it on a glass top stove. Use any utensils you like, even metal. Heat and cool your pan gradually for added longevity. No microware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Of course Wal-mart had the best price! This pan is awesome. I love using iron skillets but they can be heavy, especially large ones. This is similar to an iron skillet, but much lighter weight. I also love having two handles. I shopped all around and of course, Wal-Mart had the best price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made Skillet, Great Price I bought this because I had just taken a paella making class. I saw this and the price and it was a no brainer. Lodge has always made quality products, you really can't go wrong. This same skillet sells for $25 more and the specialty cookware stores. I wanted something durable; the non-Lodge pans seemed flimsy. This is a pan I can use to make paella on the grill.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love These Lodge Carbon Steel Skillets This is the big daddy of Lodges Carbon Steel Skillets and a great buy for this price. I went with Lodge over the Euro pans because they are 30 or 40 percent cheaper and come nicely pre-seasoned. Before I cooked with this pan I did a one hour season in the oven. Then I threw in some hash browns, sausage and toast and cooked it up. Worked great, with nothing sticking. Cleaned up easy as well. These pans will out live you, so unless you want to spend twice the money and melt off a bunch of beeswax before you can start to season the pan. I would recommend you look at the Lodge line of skillets. I prefer Carbon Steel to cast iron because they are lighter and heat faster. These pans are made like a tank and cook the best tasting food I’ve had in years. So far I’ve had to do very little to get this pan to give good results and with proper care it will only get better with use.
