I've been using the Magic Bag® XL Pad strictly as an ice pack, and it's been fantastic for relieving my back pain. After each use, I feel immediate relief—even when I only use it twice a day instead of the three times my doctor recommended. It's clearly effective and makes a real difference.

The only downside is the prep time: it needs to be in the freezer for 4 hours before use, which feels a bit long. But once it's ready, it works wonders. Comfortable, well-designed, and definitely worth it if you need cold therapy.

I use two of these in the winter as I'm getting into bed . I love a cold room with lots of cosiness under the cover … my toes  do very well with this bag.

Cosy winters

It's great!!  Works well on my lower back pain and the XL size is a plus. I heat it in the microwave for 2 mins 30 seconds and wrap in tea towel. It's a bit of a damp heat which is why I think it works so well. This is actually the 3rd Magic Bag I've purchased. I now have two square ones and one neck/shoulder.

Love this product. Have recommended it to anyone who needs heat to help with an injury or just to warm up your toes in bed in the winter. They last for years and years.

Great product.

The Magic Bag warms up well and keeps the heat a decent amount of time. It is made of good quality fabric and the insides are high quality too. It smells a bit funny, but that's the natural content.

Great for tight muscles

It doesn't hold it's heat much longer than 10 minutes. It says you should only reheat it 3 times a day which makes the issue worse. I usually like to heat my sore muscles for 20-30 minutes so only 10 minutes at my desired temperature just doesn't cut it.

Doesn't hold heat very long

The description of this microwaveable pad sounded perfect…..until I received it.  The size is great and it was packaged well.  I then read the instructions and couldn't believe it!  They tell you to heat the bag for 10 seconds ONLY and then remove it for 1 minute.  After that, heat it in the microwave again for 10 seconds and then remove for another minute.  You can then repeat this one more time before actually using the pad.  You can also repeat this entire process up to 3 times a day.  They warn you that heating the pad any longer than recommended can cause it to catch fire.  So, by my calculations, it would take at least 3.5 mins. just to heat the pad up for use and that does not seems long enough (only 30 seconds actually in the microwave).  These instructions do not appear in any ad, review or even written anywhere on the outside of the box where it would be visible.  I returned it 2 days after receiving it and never used it at all.
