Rated 4 out of 5 by busymom from Fun but requires a bit of prep You need to follow the guidelines regarding how long to thaw different fruits. Requires a bit of preparation to cut and freeze fruits (example: banana must be cut before freezing). If you follow the thaw instructions it produces a tasty, dairy free treat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CatD from My family loved this Christmas present! Decided to give this to my sister's family, as they love ice cream but are trying to eat healthier. Plus it looked like a fun thing for the kids to do. The day after Christmas, I get numerous text messages from them with pictures of whole family gobbling down bowls of fruit desserts (they said they just used frozen cherries, strawberries and mango) with big smiles on their faces! My sister said she didn't get to finish her bowl, because she set it down to go rinse out the Dessert Bullet, and the kids ate the rest of hers! She also said it was super easy to use, which is what I was hoping for. Will purchase one for myself next!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Natural from Cool toy! I wouldn't say this is a kitchen necessity, but I would say it is cool and fun and it works well! I almost bought the Yonanas at Sams but it was $40 and so light. This is 350 watt machine and that was200 watt. This lives up in quality to the Bullet series name. With 4 kids and it being Summer, we have used it quite often. We are moving off of sugar and they love whatever I make with it. It does not taste like ice cream, but the sorbet is wonderful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Grandmon from I love it. My grandaughter is allergic to almost everything. When the other kids eat ice cream she looks so sad. This gives her a snack that she thinks is the same as them and she lights up with excitement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MrPG from Dessert Maker Does what it says, takes frozen fruit and churns it into the consistency of soft serve ice cream. Does not make drinkable smoothies, but you can make those in a regular blender. Comes with a recipe book, I tried the banana split and it was yummy. Fruit has to thaw a few minutes first so it is not too hard for the machine to churn it. My suggestion is that you double or triple the recipes otherwise the portion sizes are quite small. If you like frozen, healthy , fruity deserts (and who doesn't) this is a good buy. After use, you have to clean the machine, for some people it may be easier just to jump in the car and drive to the local ice cream store. Also, I ordered my Dessert Bullet online from Walmart.com, when it arrived it had a price tag on the box that was less than what I actually was charged, so it may have been sitting on a shelf for a while, but it was still cheaper than I saw this elsewhere.
