Could not do without! They have taken the place of spending $$ on paper towels!! Use these kitchen towels as dusters, drainage towels for newly washed fruits %26 veggies, hand drying, cleaning up spills, %26 anything you may use paper towels for. They are very easy to wash %26 dry with your weekly laundry! When they have seen better days, just invest in a few more.

OH MY GOODNESS I LOVE THESE I USE THEM FOR DRYING DISHES AND ANY KIND OF SPILL THESE ARE THE BEST IN MY OPINION I LOVE THEM YOU DONT HAVE TO WIPE OVER AND OVER TO WIPE UP A SPILL OR DRY DISHES IT DOES IT IN ONE WIPE IVE NEVER GOTTEN THEM BEFORE BUT ONCE I TRIED THEM I GOT ME ANOTHER PACK AND WILL BE BUYING MORE I ALSO GIVE THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO TRY OUT SHOWING THEM HOW GOOD THEY ARE

Best kitchen towels, so much better than terry cloth or microfiber towels. They absorb  moisture well even thought thin,  dry fast, launder nicely. Versatile. Nice to include in a gift for cooks or housewarming. I liked that they were pre-washed, too, so did not have to wash before first use although some may want to do so anyway.

Im quite pleased with these towels. Although thin they are plenty large enough to do what you would expect. They absorb quite well and how can you beat the price? Of course they are not plush and not decorative (although you could say that white towels look nice and clean, until stained). Plus you can bleach them and always know your towels are clean, even if stained. They are perfect for covering bread that is rising or for spreading out to allow blanched vegetables to cool and dry. Again, you simply can't beat the price of $1.00 and pennies for a towel with so many uses. Finally, if you have a really nasty cleanup, at this price, you can just toss it.

Well worth the Price

These are Mainstays but they are really a '"Great Value." I was surprised at the quality. While they are thin, they are quite sizeable and absorbent. I bought some dye to make DIY table runners/ covers for end tables out of these, and they worked perfectly! Such a great  value, took the dye very well, and don't look cheap despite being cheap. I liked them so much, I bought more to dye for kitchen towels, and gave some away to my mom.

These are very large! So big that I'm using one of them to make an apron, just adding the band across the top for the apron ties and some pockets. But I have to say they are not soft at all. Quite rough and don't soften up after washing as I thought they might.

This fabric is thinner than I had expected, but will serve the purpose.  These could never have been used as real "flour sacks" - the weave is too loose.

Don't Make 'em Like they Used to

Be careful! It is sold as a package of 5 towels, but when it came there were only 3 towels.  Walmart did refund,  but I'm curious to check them out in store to see if other packages labeled "5" have fewer or if someone tampered with this particular package and took 2 of them.

These are NOT flour sack material.  It is so loosely woven and thin that flour would sift right through.  Would probably be fine as cheese cloth, but definitely not a good buy as dish towels.  I returned them and the clerk handling the return looked at the material and stated the above opinion of it being like cheese cloth and that flour would go right through it.

NOT FLOUR SACKING AS ADVERTISED

Do not buy these! They don't seem to be made of "flour sack" material at all. They're more like a thicker cheesecloth. They aren't towel-shape either. They're a big square, hemmed on four sides. I won't bother returning them. I'll cut them up for cleaning cloths instead. I would have given these a "zero" rating if the scale had gone that low.
