Went back and forth between this set or possibly getting a wooden bunk bed. This was significantly cheaper so ultimately that was the deciding factor. I must say, I'm not disappointed. It was easy to set up. It's very sturdy. My girls love it. I think it looks modern as well.

Worked good just don't over tighten anything or it could bend metal. I used lock tight on the bolts so they don't come loose from kids going up and down it over time. Easy assemble took a hour

Overall

My husband and I have been looking for a bed to go in our guest room that could replace a tiny twin sized bed. We have lots of family coming to stay at various times of the year and after searching high and low, pricing different beds from Murphy beds to day beds with a trundle we decided on this bunk bed set and are pretty impressed. I was able to purchase this bunk bed set, 2 beds in a bag, and a 9inch memory foam mattress for around $450, all from Walmart. Shipping was super fast through FedEx and my boxes had no damage at all. 
So for my opinion of the bunk beds.....the assembly wasn't bad at all. My husband and I were able to put it together pretty easily. We opted to use our drill instead of the allen wrenches provided. We weren't missing any hardware and all the railings were perfectly in tact and fit right together. Once we threw our mattresses on we gave it a test. My 205lb husband and my 160lb self were able to lay on the bottom bunk together with a little flexing of the support rails(according to our daughter) so we will be adding a 4x4 block underneath just to insure the most support. Myself and my daughter(102lbs) tested the top bunk individually and it held up with no problem. My husband did say he could feel every time one of us moved though. So as far as sturdiness goes, I wouldn't recommend children jumping or swinging on these beds because they will sway slightly if pushed or pulled. It's sturdy enough but we also plan to brace it to our wall for a little more added support. I feel like they will last for a good while if used for their intended purpose and taken care of properly. They look nice and have plenty of head room in the bottom bunk which is nice. The ONLY thing I dont like is the ladder. The steps are small squared off tubes that are not comfortable on the feet. I may add some type of padding to them. Other than that I'd highly recommend this set along with the other needed accessories that Walmart provides. You cant beat it for the price!!!

Excellent product for the money!!!

I was skeptical going into the purchase about how well made it actually would be, especially for such an economic price. I know there were many reviews saying it is sturdy, but everyone has their own idea of what that means. 

To my pleasure, it is very sturdy, all metal and the welds look solid. 

I suppose you could put it together by yourself in a pinch, but honestly it's a two person job. Assembly is pretty straight forward. 

Pay attention to drilled out holes and make sure they're facing the correct direction, or you could end up back tracking as several pieces look indentical. 

Also, the picture diagram shows the ladder connecting to it's brackets on the outside of the bed frame, but this is incorrect, and potentially dangerous. They actually connect on the inside of both the top and bottom frame, allowing the bottom of the ladder to sit on top of the bottom frame, and the top of the ladder underneath the top frame. This well help distribute the weight of the person climbing the ladder evenly and reinforce the strength of the bed as a whole. 

Shipment came 3 days ealier than expected. Be warned, the box it comes in is very large and the total package is very heavy. I'm a pretty strong fellow but it gave me so much challenge, I just opened the box and removed the pieces one by one where the shipment guy left it. 

You'll need a hand truck/dolly or 2-3 people to help carry it. It really should come with a warning because it could easily become a hernia or a back muscle pull waiting to happen. 

I would not put any more than 200lbs on the top bunk. I think the bed is sturdy enough to handle it but why chance possible breakage and/or injury.

Sturdy...

I Needed a Twin over full bed for my girls so after searching Walmart online I came upon this bunk bed and really liked the design and price . My order came exactly when it said it would. It took my husband and I about an hour and half to put this together.  It's really easy to assemble .

Great buy

The bed is pretty sturdy, there wasn't anything wrong with it . My kids loved it . Only problem is there is a lot of pieces so it took me like 3.5 hours to put together . Definitely have to have patience for this bed  but I do see it lasting .

Bunkbed

We had about 4 months to test this out. 
First off, the twin-over- full bunk (gray)was packaged well, extremely heavy to lift on my own, so I had to take it upstairs in pieces. Anyway, there were pink markings on the frame but that didn't bother me (hardly visible). 
It feels sturdy for our 2 kids, who are 4 and 6 yrs old. We also love the modern look. Only downside is having to tighten the screws from time-to-time. We found that we did this once a month or two. When we had 2 adults using the bottom bunk, the center bar on the bottom , was starting to squeak a lot after a week and so I had to tighten that. Other than this issue, I find it Sturdy and I trust it will do it's job.

Great bunk for my 2 kids.

Instructions were easy to follow. Piece on ladder was bent some. Otherwise perfect. Kids love it! We opted for this style instead of one with ladders on ends. It's easier for kids to get up and the overall bed isn't super high like our older one. Perfect for all the kids and mom or dad that tuck them in at bedtime.

I purchased the bed for my grandsons ~ we have 4. I have had a full size bed in that room and wanted to add an additional bed so we would have a total of 3 place to sleep for the 3 young boys who are currently staying with us. Of course it came in a box and I though "oh no" ~ I've had to put things together before and thought it would take all day. It really was not that bad. Me and my 8 year old grandson put it together in a couple of hours ~ it wouldn't have taken that long but he wanted to take a break, so we did, it was something I wanted to accomplish with him so I agreed to wait and finish up later. However, we did get it up that night and they were able to sleep in it. . . The take turns sleeping on the top bunk. There ages range from 4,6 and 8. It does come with a ladder and I love that fact that the ladder is secure on top and bottom ~ you can not remove the ladder once it is attached unless you take out the screws and I like that better than it not being secure on the bottom but if you have a littler one that you would not want climbing up and down with out your being in the room this might not be the best choice for you ~

Bed for 3 boys

Let's start with positives. The price was great (you get what you pay for). Shipping was fast and product packaging was excellent. Assembly was clear and simple. Now to the negatives. It's cheap, thin walled metal.  This is for our 11 year old so it'll work but that's about it. The weight ratings for the top and bottom bunks are a joke. The bed is weak as a whole. I'm 195lbs and I feel like it's going to break when I sit on it. My 11 year old (90 lbs) makes the bed flex just laying on the top bunk. Metal rattling noises as a person moves around in it.

Not as described

I didn't have an opportunity to assemble because upon opening the package I noticed that parts of the frame were damaged. There were multiple gaps in the welding.... and from the looks of it their QC department took the day off when they manufactured my order. My 5yr old was so upset that I had to return it. She asked me to get her another one but I'd rather not risk it.
