Enables upright use and storage without support.

Measurements may not be precise, especially for small quantities.

Can be efficient with compatible attachments, but may struggle with others.

Stores flat and upright to maximize freezer space.

I always buy Lanoish bags for myself b/c they are cheaper. I pump into the bottle then pour into the bag. I bought these for my Sister who is a working mommy and this saves her a whole step and now she does not have a bunch of dirty bottles with her at work...worth the $ for her.

Saves washing bottles

I prefer this milk storage bag over a couple other brands I've tried. These ones feel the sturdiest from what I've used and are easy to fill with the bottom expanding out while you fill. The zipper seal is super strong too! No problems with leakage as long as you properly press it closed.

Best Breast Milk Bags

These bags are wonderful! I wish I had these with my first son. There are two attachements with these bags so you can pump directly into the bags and then close and freeze or refrigerate. Have been using these for a few weeks now and so far no problems.

These are great!

I return to work in a month, My husband and I started pumping to increase my milk supply. Once my Supply went up we needed a product that could store my milk with out risk of losing any. I am happy to say Medela's Breastmilk storage bags are worth every penny. Thus far no defective bags, BPA free and, I love the heavy duty seal.
You have two ways you can fill the bag with your breastmilk. You can pump into the bottle then pour your milk in or, You can pump directly into the storage bag. This box comes with an adapter that will fit on to your manual or electic pump. (I currently have Medela's manual pump)
I love this product <3

Fantastic!!!

Have tried a few brands, these bags are perfect for breastmilk storage. Got them at a rollback price... loved the deal!!

Great for BM storage

I got these thinking they were gonna be good. I already had multiple bags leak and they are hard to pour into bottles. I have spilt milk trying to go from bag to bottle. Was not worth it.

Leak/Spills

I thought these bags would be great because the Medela products I have used has been wonderful. I haven't tried the attachment to pump directly in the bag so I cannot speak to that feature. However, I can speak to other features of this bag. I must say that they hold milk well, I have only put up to 4 oz in a bag. They have a good sealing to close the bag, but it's very hard to close. You have to put a lot of pressure on the ziplocking part for it to close. It stands up well in the freezer. I wanted to try thawing a bag and noticed that the milk leaked from the bottom of the bag and it took a long time to warm up and thaw. I lost a good 1/2 ounce of milk trying to thaw it out. I have a lot of bags left and I do not plan to use them unless I run out of the other bags I purchased and its the last resort. It was also hard to transfer the milk from the bag to the bottle. I will not recommend this product to anyone, I don't think it worth the money.

They Leak when thawing

I thought I would love this product, after all I could pump straight into the bags and not worry about losing milk in the transfer from the bottle to the storage bag. Sadly, this was not the answer I was looking for. First of all, the bag corners are a hard plastic that would scratch my stomach and legs as I would pump. Secondly, there is no way you can freeze any more than 4 ounces per bag, even though it is marked for 5. These bags don't compress as much as the other ones I used either, so they took up more space in the freezer and also took longer to warm back up in my opinion. I'm sure this product worked great for others but I bought 2 boxes and ended up taking one back to the store - wish I could take them both back.

Not so great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a working mom who is breastfeeding and pumping for twins. My husband has recently informed me that when he goes to thaw the milk I have spent countless hours and energy pumping for my babies it leaks out at the seams!!
I am beyond upset and frustrated with this product seeing as how you cannot replace the wasted milk

Leaking bags

medela.com

I am 14 weeks pregnant, still nursing my 15 month old and my milk supply has pretty much dried up. I still try a few times a day though. I am almost to the end of my freezer supply and I just wanted to share a few things about my experiences in using up my freezer supply.
1. You can never have enough frozen. There is no "too much".
2. All of the frozen milk I have fed her over the last month has been 13 to 15 months old. In a deep freeze. She drank every drop, not a bad bag. So I question the 12 month rule.
3. Double check your bag is sealed before you freeze, keep the seal dry. Many popped open while thawing.
4. I used 3 kinds of bags and lots of empty bottles. I will NEVER buy Medela bags again. They are the only ones that the sealed opened on and 4 bags so far either broke or the seal on the bottom of the bag leaked while thawing in hot water. No problems with Lansinoh bags. Not sure if Gerber still makes bags but I used some that were 7 years from my first baby and NO PROBLEM with Gerber bags.

This discussion was posted in a breastfeeding facebook page and look at some of the other comments! None positive about Medela bags!

I have had a Medela bag leak once thawed. Good to know I'm not the only one.

I also had a Medela bag issue. Mine burst in the freezer. I wasn't sure if maybe I improperly sealed it or if one of the kids smashed it before it was frozen.

I will never use medela bags again either. I had so many of them leak. Some to the point where I lost 4 ounces of milk! and we all know how heartbreaking that is!
