[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo worked really well for me. My hair (2c-3b) gets oily at the roots, and this took care of that very well. The shampoo itself is clear, and it has a nice scent. I double-shampoo so I followed up with my regular shampoo and my hair wasn't greasy for a few days! The letters "S" and "C" for the lids of the bottles from this line of MONDAY products are a small design but they do help with choosing the correct product.

It gets rid of all the build-up without leaving my hair feeling like straw. Plus, the smell is amazing and the price is great. Seriously, my hair feels so clean and refreshed after using this. If you're looking for a clarifying shampoo that actually works, give Monday a try! Especially if you get braids often!!

Perfect to remove build up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using MONDAY Haircare for a few weeks now, and overall, I'm impressed. The packaging is modern and minimalistic—it looks great in the shower and comes with a convenient pump.

I tried the Smooth line, and it really helped control frizz and left my hair feeling soft and clean without being weighed down. The scent is fresh and salon-like, which I love. My hair felt more manageable after just a couple of uses.

One downside is that the formula might not be moisturizing enough for very dry or damaged hair, so if your hair needs deep hydration, you might need an additional treatment or mask. But for everyday use, it's a great option, especially considering the price.

Would recommend it for normal to slightly dry hair types looking for a budget-friendly, stylish haircare option.

The bottles are so cute, the pump function works great (which isn't always the case) and I love how it smells. I'm not one to change up my hair products often so I probably won't make the switch permanently but it was a great item to try!

Smells & looks great!

It did its job with clarifying my hair and taking away built up product. The scent is great, but it dried my scalp up to much even when I used it once a week. I will have to end up putting this aside for a once a month clarifying wash.

All I would say is don't fall for the packaging if you want a good shampoo this is not it. I'm sorry it stripped my hair at least.

Get the job done

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Despite its name and claims, Monday Clarify + Grapefruit Extract Shampoo is really not a clarifying or deep cleanse shampoo. It does not adequately cleanse existing build up, unless there was minimal to no build up to begin with. 

This shampoo is a perfectly fine everyday shampoo for a gentle cleanse. If you shampoo your hair everyday, and do not use heavy products, this is the shampoo for the task. 

The bottle is beautiful: a neutral pink color in a minimalist rectangle design. The pump works well to dispense product evenly. Although one issue is that if you buy both the Monday Clarify shampoo and conditioner, they are so minimalist they are difficult to tell apart! 

The scent is a spa-like white tea and grapefruit scent. Calming, elegant hotel scent. It's not a super strong scent (think moderate low like a wellness brand) but lovely. 

The texture of the product is regular shampoo texture with good body and spreadability. Not runny or too thick—just right!

This is an issue free shampoo except for its misleading claims as a clarifying shampoo. It does not have sulfates which also means it does not have cleansing strength. It does have salicylic acid but not to a meaningful degree. 

This shampoo would get five stars if it was marketed as a gentle cleanser shampoo. But it is not which accounts for my three star review. 

In my opinion the addition of ceramides is likely a meaningless marketing claim. Ceramides is an expensive ingredient that already is used in very weak amounts in most skincare where it has the most benefit.  I can't imagine it being added in meaningful amounts in wash off haircare. 

Even if it was, ceramides are skin barrier support ingredient that works by integrating with and reinforcing the skin's lipid matrix over time. I can't say for sure but my guess is ceramides are not a compelling ingredient for haircare. And if they are, shampoo is likely not the form because its function is to carry oil away rather than to deposit ingredients.

A spa-like gentle cleanse shampoo—NOT a clarifying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After being pleasantly surprised by the conditioner I was really disappointed by the shampoo, I found the scent very weak, the consistency very watery and the cleaning power just frankly not great. I always do an oil mask before washing my hair and normally shampoo my hair twice, but I ended up just using my normal shampoo for a third shampoo to get my hair clean
