I really like the product , dose the job. Definitely recommend it . The positives are that I didn't have to use too much of the product on each cotton pad. It left the skin round my eyes feeling soft and it also didn't hurt my eyes after I used it. Overall I'm happy with it and will continue to use it and buy it in the future.

I loved this product. It easily and gentle removed my eye make up including waterproof mascara without having to rub and irate the eye area. Make up just melted away. It does leave a slightly oily residue over the eye but if then cleansing the face this is removed. Have tried lots of eye make up removers and would say this is the best on the market for such a reasonable cost.

Best on the market

I really loved this make up remover, it was really gentle and my skin felt really soft and smooth after taking off my makeup, with no irritation which was lovely. It took the make up off fairly easy without loads of scrubbing and is pretty affordable. This is something I am looking to repurchase

Lovely and gentle

NIVEA Double Effect Eye Make-Up Remover first time I have ever used this product and I will definitely be using it again. Amazing for waterproof eye-make-up as well. It just slides over your eyes gently and does a wonderful job of making them mascara free. LOVE IT!

Great Eye Make-Up Remover

I usually use only cleanser and makeup wipes to remove makeup, but after trying this I will use this on my eye makeup from now on - although their selling point is ‘no rubbing', you do still have to rub a little to get everything off, especially if you wear shadow + liner, however it doesn't take much at all and it will remove all traces of eye makeup which is fab! It's perfect for sensitive skin round the eyes. Will be using this from now on!

Fab eye makeup remover

It doesn't remove mascara as well as another brand, I have to use more cotton rounds to get all  of my regular mascara off.

It's okay on sale

To start on a positive: This is so gentle on the skin! Has a kind of oily texture so very easy on more sensitive skin. Smells lovely too! However... it's not amazing at removing normal mascara never mind waterproof mascara. Took a lot of rubbing to remove the majority of my normal mascara and even then I was left with slight “panda eye” Even with persistent rubbing though, there was no discomfort or sore skin around my eyes. I have added a photo so you can see the before and after - my eyelashes are very blonde so you can see how much mascara is still left on my eyes after quite a bit of rubbing.

Rubbing definitely needed

Feels just like water, without irrigation to eyes and has no scent to it so it's definitely great for sensitive skin. Only down side for me was that it takes quite long to actually take off the mscara and I had to properly rub it to get it off completely.

Nivea eye make-up remover

I feel compelled to come here to the Nivea page to share my experience. I have used double effect for years to remove my waterproof mascara and eyeliner. Nothing else would take it off with such ease and I recommended it to everyone. Then for the last 2 months I have been having issues with recurring styes which have been horrendously painful and I have looked disgusting. My eyes have also been very dry and itchy. I put it down to mascara at first and replaced it. Then ended up replacing every single makeup product including eyelash curlers and pencil sharpeners. Still getting styes. In different places and both eyes. I finally felt resigned that it must be hormonal. Started omega 3's. Didn't help. By chance I researched this product and lo and behold there has been a reformulation and reading all the reviews here the penny has dropped. Although some of these go back 2 years? I will no longer be using this toxic product and it should be removed from sale. Goodbye Nivea!
