I was skeptical of this rug when I ordered it. Would it be too... whimsical with the "gold spots." I bought the rug for our master bedroom, which has hardwood floors. I have a rectangular, subtle striped cowhide rug in an alcove on the opposite side of the room. I needed a rug to coordinate, but didn't want to pay for the real thing--also didn't care for the idea of the real thing. (The other cowhide rug is a designer consignment shop find) Anyway, this rug is perfect! It adds a pop of interest and is soft under your feet. It fits the spot perfectly and I don't even think about the "gold spots!" I might not put it in my foyer, but it works here!

This Cowhide rug is Amazing!

This rug is perfect! I love the gold added in. It's perfect for the nursery. It's also super soft and I've had no issues with the hair coming up. Even my dogs have enjoyed laying on the rug.

Great size for a home office. The gold is very metallic but not overwhelming. Stays out and haven't had any issues with the rug shedding.

This rug adds texture and a bit of glam to my Scandi minimalist decor. It's so cute as a layering rug! It's very soft and unique.

If you're like me and just looking for a top layer to a rug that adds dimension then this is perfect. Super lightweight I was actually surprised but it works for what I want.

This is a perfect faux cow hide accent rug

Oh my... well the 2 stars were for the size being as advertised.  The rug itself is 0 stars. It is truly gold spray painted spots on the rug. The paint is not even worked into the fibers, it just sits on top as a glob. Might work if only viewable from a far and never needed to be vacuumed/cleaned.

Cheap looking - save your $

I didn't even open this rug, I could see the blinding “gold” through the packaging and felt my heart drop.  It's so not what I thought it would be.   I agree with the reviewer that said gold flecks should be in the name of this rug.  Wish I would have read the negative reviews to avoid getting stuck with paying for the return shipping.  Soooo disappointing.
