Food Condition

To this day, classic OKA Original is aged in the cellars at Fromagerie Oka. The sight of its amber-hued washed rind makes mouths water, whether people choose to eat the rind or not. With a subtle butteriness and distinctive aroma, OKA Original continues to be made using the original recipe handed down by the monks at Oka Abbey. Nothing short of divine.

Oka has always been one of my favorite Quebec cheese, and the original clearly wins! I don't like strong sharp cheese but these one is just tasty enough, very smooth and creamy.

Oka Original has been a favourite in my house for years. Semi soft and the creamy texture goes with any food you.may wish to pair it with. Interesting history. A cheese well knowing.

Oka Cheese A  Favourite

Although I only buy OKA infrequently, it is one of my favourite cheeses.  It will make any occasion much more special, and special occasions even more so.  A nice glass of rosé and everything is complete.

Nice taste

Tasty cheese: Oka is a great (waterfront) town, that you need to take a ferry to get to,  full of chill Quebecois, lots of farming, fresh air, hillsides and greenery with a nice National Park for camping, so I guess the cheese is a good reflection of all this.

Not bad

This is a tasty cheese that has more of a subtle/ milder taste compared to some stronger cheeses. It goes great in a grilled cheese sandwich. I like that the product packaging gives you ideas with respect to how you can eat the cheese if it's your first time trying it.

Good cheese and perfect for a cheese board

Something about the taste was way off. I bit into it and chewed for a few seconds and had to end up spitting it out. Expiry is October 25, not sure what was up with this. I won't be buying again.

Not what I was expecting
