I got this mini stereo for my bathroom to listen to while I'm getting ready in the morning.  I wasn't expecting much, based on how cheap it was and it came from Wal-Mart and it was a brand I have never heard of before. However, it puts out great sound! My CDs sound really nice. Plus it has a radio... although it has one of those long thin wires that act as an antenna. Sometimes certain stations can be slightly staticky so I have to move the wire around. This stereo has holes in the back of the unit and the speakers so you can hang it on the wall...freeing up counter space. And hanging on the wall It is actually really sturdy...I was worried that It might not hang well, but it does.  It has an alarm which I think I'm going to use because 1. It will force me to get out of bed to go into the bathroom to turn it off and 2. You can have the alarm go off with a CD playing, which is less obnoxious than a buzzer (but it can go off with a buzzer or radio, too). Also, it has a remote control. I left the remote in the plastic so that I can use it while showering or while taking a bath and not have to worry about it getting ruined by the water. (I don't immerse it in the water or anything, but my hands are wet.) There is one of those little plastic battery blocker thingies that you have to take off in order for the remote to work (which I didn't see at first because I had left the remote in the plastic, so at first I thought the remote didn't work.)  Overall I really like it, especially for the price!

Great sound for bathroom

Surprised by the sound this put out. Like the way you can hang all 3 pieces on the wall separately. the speaker wire length lets you spread them at least 8' apart. The CD door opens by a button and closes when you push it down.  Plug in your iPhone with an audio jack and play your songs. Pretty nifty, going to buy another one for home. Even has an alarm.

Great sound in a small unit

I took a chance and bought a brand I had never heard of. I read the reviews and they seemed OK. It is the best chance I've taken. I thought maybe I'd hook up extra speakers, but the factory speakers are more than fine for the upstairs part of my house. I'm thinking of even buying another one for the downstairs of my house. It is small but the speaker quality is good, all of the features work on the system, and it's very easy to use. Just don't lose the remote.  The price is great, and I love the smaller size of the unit.  I would definitely recommend this system.

Not a bad little stereo for the price. It fit in the small space I have & was surprised at the sound. Easy set up & easy to figure out how to run.

Not Bad

I just picked this up at my local Wal-Mart because I wanted a stereo. This was the only one I saw that wasn't bulky so I went with it. The sound quality is pretty good. It does what it's supposed to, but I'm getting ready to return it because it's quite hideous. I want a stereo that does the job, but is also a bit cute...or not ugly.

OK stereo

I bought this for around $40 (it must've been on sale or something) and for a specific purpose. The stereo served its purpose, so I can't complain too much. I now have it in my office and use all the functions (except for the alarm) on a daily basis.

I'd recommend this stereo if you find it for $35 or less and don't have an alternative. For nearly $100, though, there are much better alternatives and I wouldn't recommend this.

It's fairly easy to program without the manual. It's not intuitive, but you can probably stumble across the appropriate method if you lose the manual, or your spouse accidentally throws it out with the trash because she wasn't paying attention to the "trash mail" stack and the "to be filed/put away" pile of papers on your desk. It happens.

Overall, the sound quality is decent. The preset EQ settings generally get the job done, but none are customizable.

Radio reception is kind of weak. I'm always manually tuning it because the seek function skips over stations with good-but-not-super-strong signals. Once the radio is locked in on a station, however, it sounds just fine. The antenna is rather sensitive, so you'll probably have to tape it in place once you find a good overall position for it.

I've had no issues with the Aux function.

The vertical door design for the CD player lends itself to an increased likelihood of you scratching the CD because it can be awkward putting in a CD (vs. a horizontal scheme or automated slide-in/out design). This isn't a major issue, but something I noticed right away.

I may be unaware of the appropriate setting (if it exists), but the CD player does not have gapless playback.

My biggest hangup with the stereo is how loud the CD player itself is while operating. I play a lot of classical music and bands with wide dynamic range and, more often than not, the operating noise of the CD player (as the CD spins) is fairly loud relative to a lot of the softer parts of the music. It's not an issue with most other genres (except maybe audio books/spoken word albums), and certainly wouldn't be noticeable if you're jamming tunes while in the shower or working in the garage, but it's distracting in more quiet settings.

Again, for the $40 I spent on this, it served its purpose and is a decent compact system, but for $100, I'd keep looking at your options.

Better value out there for $100
