Smell

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am relatively new to essential oils, but only because they seem to be expensive. When I got the chance to try this Ellia “Open-Up” scent it was only the second essential oil I had ever used, so I was anxious to see if there was any difference in essential oils by manufacturer. The first thing I noticed was that the Ellia brand is that it came with a child proof cap which is important to me as my grandson thinks these are magic potions and wants to open them up. Another nice touch is the dark purple bottle which keeps harmful UV rays from spoiling your essential oils. When I first opened the bottle and took a whiff, I noticed scents of Eucalyptus, Lemon, and a couple others that I could not pinpoint. What I did notice immediately after placing about 8-10 drops in my diffuser, was that I seemed to breathe easier. I don't normally have any breathing issues, but my first thought was that by using this blend during sleep if it would help with snoring issues, and low and behold, my spouse did not seem to snore as much. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not, but I will keep using this blend and hopefully many snore free nights are in my future!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quality of product seems excellent I put a few drops in my warmer and my whole house was filled with fragrant  so nice and pretty smell  lemon menthol just a hint not over powering  I do use it everyday and I'm son has stuffed nose feeling and it does seem to help out thanks  I would recommend this product 

Smells pretty good!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been a 15 plus year user of essential oils, using various methods to scent a room. I seek out only the most purest aromatherapy products. Anything less than a hundred percent pure, may possibly bring into my home, unknown chemical additives from the growing and/or production process; Homedics validates its 100% purity. The first thing I noticed about the bottle, is that the glass is violet in color, which is great. This darker glass color seems to help block out the damaging UV rays, so keep it away from windows! The cap is well designed, thus ensuring that it will lock in the naturally purifying fragrance. Also, the cap has a childproof cap, to help keep the little ones out of it! The first whiff of the Open Up aromatic, immediate took me to a clean lemon grass citrus scent; very nice. This blend has hints of Lemon (Citrus limon), Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), Juniper (Juniperus communis), Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis, and Fir (Abies sibirica). I put the recommended seven (5-7) drops, into my diffuser (400ml/13.6oz), and found that the lemon grass scent was nicely noticeable for the first two hours, then started to drop off. I rinsed it out the diffuser and refilled it again, but doubled the drops to 14. By doubling the amount, the aroma remained strong for at least five hours; perfect. Ellia is ideal for use in diffusers, atomizers, washing machines, sachets, and more. Enjoy!

Wonderful Lemon Grass Scent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been very curious about essential oils, but never knew where to begin, so when I had the opportunity to select this as a Spark Review item, I chose one from which I may benefit the most. 
I have certainly made a good choice.
The Ellia "Open Up" therapeutic grade essential oil is delightful! It is a blend that features: Lemon , Eucalyptus, Juniper, Rosemary, and Fir. Being a newbie to essential oils, all the work is done for me to enjoy this fabulous mix! This "breath easy blend" really does inspire me to practice good deep breathing techniques. It's invigorating yet very melodic and the individual tones come together perfectly. 
It only takes 5-7 drops in a diffuser and is for topical use only. I love to place it on a ladies' hankie and keep it at my desk for wafting in the scent... so nice!
Being a Homedics product, I feel I can trust it's 100% Pure Therapeutic Grade quality. 
I don't know at this point if I will begin to blend my own essential oils, but I look forward to trying the other Ellia blends which are available!
This is a great, high-quality product!

Perfect Experience for a First-Timer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used essential oils for many years. I am not partial to any brand, just whether it does what it is supposed to do and or smells good.:). I have several different brands that I use regularly for different purposes. So, when I saw this oil I knew I needed to give it a try. The "Ellia" therapeutic essential oil Open Up will definitely be one that I regularly purchase in the future. 

While the Elia oils are not certified organic, they are tested and free of contaminants, herbicides, and pesticides. Their website has a map that shows where each oil is sourced from and is very informative. 

I was very impressed with the Open Up oil. I have allergies and I am always on the look out for some type of relief!:) This blend of oils contains lemon, eucalyptus, fir, juniper, and rosemary. Upon opening the bottle, I could immediately smell the lemon and eucalyptus. As those are two of my favorite smells, I really enjoyed using Open Up in my diffuser. I also mixed it with a little fractionated coconut oil and put it behind my ears and around my sinus'. 

One major difference I noticed about this brand is that the bottle has a child resistant cap. While that is not something I need because my kids do not get into my oils, for someone who has small children it could be a very good thing.

I would definitely recommend this oil and will definitely be looking into the other oils and blends they have to offer.

Refreshing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This essential oil has a very soorhing scent. I placed several drops in my defusser and instantly the room took on a whole new fresh scent. I can detect a hint of lemon, lime and a very faint menthol scent. It is a very clean scent and seems to last long after the defusser is turned off. It is a very delicate scent and my entire house smells like the forest after a spring rain. I recommend this oil to anyone who wants a soft scent that doesn't over power you as soon as you enter thd room. Nothing at all like your typical room spray. This is a natural scent that you will enjoy!!!

Very soothing scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I personally do not use the essential oils very much. For one, they are expensive. The one I got free from Spark Review is called Open up, 100% Pure Therupectic Grade. and you use 5-7 drops in your diffuser or you can use it in a warmer as well. This one has lemon, Euculyptus, Juniper and Rosemary. I love the smell of these, each alone on their own as well. This one is clarifying, uplifting, purfying and balancing woodsy. It has a nice scent to it and I am willing to try new things and putting it in the warmer made the house smell great. I like the smell of this one and I think I would like the lavender one as well. They say lavender helps you to relax more. Who knows, maybe by trying this one, you may have found a new customer for this type of product. So this evening I am going to take a long hot bath and see how it goes with just a little bit in the bath water. It might make a big difference . Thanks so much,

Essential Oil

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I selected the Ellia Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil from the Spark Reviewer program, I was not familiar with the brand. I am all about beautiful scents (perfume, air fresheners, candles, oil warmers, essential oils, fabric softener, and fragrance boosters in the laundry) so I was excited to try something new. I received the OPEN UP Breathe Easy Blend whose main notes are lemon, eucalyptus, fir, juniper, and rosemary. With my first sniff of the bottle I could detect the lemon coming through the strongest and the rest were kind of a blur. Even though I love lemon, I didn't really care for it that much here. It was rather startling to my nose so it did seem to open up my breathing passages. With further use though, I realized that while this oil does not smell very good in the concentrated formula, when it's thinned out it is quite pleasant and the other layers seem to develop. I added a couple drops to a wax warmer that didn't have much scent left to it and I really enjoyed the scent it gave off in the room, as it did in the diffuser. This can be used topically only if added to a carrier oil (not directly to the skin), so I decided to put a couple drops in a warm foot bath. Aaah! Nice!

A Pleasant Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Open Up Scent is a very interesting and complex blend of lemon, eucalyptus, fir, juniper and rosemary. The lemon and plant/tree oils come off the strongest and the eucalyptus seems more like spearmint. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but it is still nice. The packaging is a very nice box and the bottle is a good size at half an ounce. The cap is child-proof which I find a little frustrating/annoying to open. Overall the Ellia makes a trustworthy product and also makes a great looking gift.

Nice Packaging, Good Scent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not a novice when it comes to using essential oils. But, I had not heard of the Ellia brand or its formula, Open Up. So, when I had the chance to try it as a Spark Reviewer, I chose to do so. I do suffer from nasal congestion a lot and looked forward to giving this formula a try. When I choose this formula, I was not aware of any ingredients until I received the package. The ingredients are Lemon (Citrus limon),
 Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus globulus), Juniper (Juniperus communis), Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis), and Fir (Abies sibirica). This sounded like a good combination. I feel the scent is very weak in my diffuser. I slept with the diffuser going all night on the table bedside my bed. There was a faint scent as some mist wafted my way. It was a pleasant scent that was calming. I'm not sure it opened up any nasal passages, though. I found that if I mix a couple drops with a carrier oil, (I use coconut oil. But, almond oil would work, too), I can rub it in my temples and it gives a slightly soothing effect. I think Ellis essential oils are to be used as more of an air freshener than for truly opening up breathing passages. I like the packaging. However, instructions are on the box, not the bottle. So, keep that in mind before tossing the box. Like a lot of essential oils, the bottle has a "dropper top " (see picture) to make dispensing the oil pretty easy. I would recommend this essential oil formula. Just keep in mind, it's only for soothing, not for really opening up sinuses.
