Everything looks great except the difficulty in cleaning the appliance after use

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried to give this a few tries with different sandwiches, but it just never worked out. I did give it a couple stars because it gets hot very quickly. However, each time I followed the instructions of greasing up the surface a bit and placing the sandwich into the machine, everything would immediately ooze out and the sandwich would not be cut properly. It came out without any sort of good crisp to it and felt more soggy and unedible. It seems much more efficient to just toast bread in a toaster or place your sandwich on a hot pan for a couple minutes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this over a month ago, and tried making sandwiches for the second time.  I was very disappointed to find out my 2 pieces of meat and 1 piece of cheese made the sandwich to thick for the sandwich maker.  I couldn't close the lid all the way and so I had to hold it down and approximate when my sandwich would be done.  Then to top it off i had to use a wet towel because the inside doesn't come out to wash.

A Spring discovered when you open it and close it. The toast combines the crack or there is the Spring.much better a paninie press The sandwich cutter knives is not really useful.It serves rather to smear more Spring.

In 1999 it was a good purchase.

Absolutely a waste of time. 2 pieces of regular bread a slice of cheese and 2 slices of thin roast beef and some mustard, the machine leaks cheese everywhere , causes alot of smoke and basicly leaves your sandwich cheese and condiment free.

It has huge design flaws that will not allow you to close the machine while making one or even two sandwiches. Pretty sure i cant take it back due to the cheese being everywhere but this machine is a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT.

Get a different machine

Absolutely useless ... Two pieces of standard sized bread and a few pieces of thinly sliced cheddar cheese and the lid would not close.  There is a huge design flaw in this model and should be made deeper.  I had to put my weight down on it to get it to close and lock but the lock just popped open.  Took it back.  Very disappointed in this product.  I would steer clear of it at all costs.
