I'm not sure if it's the phone or the flash drive or the combination of the two, but it was a bit difficult for me to figure out how to get (find) the pictures on my phone and transfer to the flash drive. I had to find a video for assistance and then I was able to transfer my pictures. Also, It was on sale for less the $20 so I gave it a try.

I got this beauty on sale, at less than $25.00 after taxes and shipping. 1 TB! It has USB and C-Type ports, and can swivel between them. Its made of heavy magnetic-resistant metal, durable. I don't use a lot of storage, so this is all the backup I'll need.

This USB drive is the perfect solution for quickly transferring files between devices. It works wonderfully and does exactly what I need it to do. After losing trust in cloud storage years ago, I've relied on physical drives like this one. It's great for transferring large files, like an entire music collection from my PC to a friend's phone. That said, I wouldn't recommend continuously reformatting or overwriting these drives, or keeping them plugged in all the time. Instead, I use it like a filing cabinet—fill it up once and leave it as a backup. If you're looking for a reliable and straightforward way to store and transfer files, this drive is a fantastic choice.

A Reliable Alternative to Cloud Storage

some stand-alone players may not recognize it since it's not formatted in simple FAT32, but I think 1 terabyte must use the extended FAT32 format. Other than that it appears to be working well. Haven't tested for the full capacity. That would take a while to fill up.

This USB A/ USB C Thumb drive Is horrible. It will dumb down to the USB A speeds when using using the USB C port. It is extremely slow!   A normal USB A thumb drive has read and write speeds of about 150 Mb per second. This piece of junk has  read and write  speeds of .07 Mb per sec. checked with Speed Disk software.   I have a fast Mac Studio and to copy 15 GB on a normal USB takes about 15 mins. This thing was going to take 2.5 days . Don't waist your money. I returned mine.

Slowest  USB thumb Drive in the world!!!!

Does not seem to be a real 1 TB memory stick. I tried to format it and finally got it formatted.
There is less than 30 GB on this item and most of it is already used up leaving about 2GB.
I think it is not actually a 1 TB memory stick.

I knew it was too good to be true, but I bought it anyway because the price was so cheap. I waited a long time to test it after receiving it because I was afraid it would hurt my macbook. I finally decided to give it a try. It worked! Checked the metadata and it said it could hold up to 1tb. I started transferring my files over and about an hour in I received the notification that the drive was removed without the proper ejection. The file transfer window had closed out and I couldn't see the drive on my computer. So I removed the flashdrive and surprisingly a window popped up saying my file transfer was cancelled! So basically it was still working, it just didn't show it on my mac. This thing probably has a virus. Or it's just terrible quality and broke. I can't get it to work anymore. No computer, mac, or phone can detect it. 

At least this experiment was only $16….

DO NOT BUY!!! It's broken

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Though the flashdrive advertises itself as being 1TB, the truth is that any download onto it is going to take forever, and that the downloads that do make it on there are likely to become corrupted and thus unusable. 

Simply put, this device does not work as advertised, and thus won't be receiving my recommendation.

Corrupted Files

I purchased the MAOLAI 1TB USB Flash Drive hoping for a reliable high-capacity solution, but it has been nothing short of a letdown. The advertised storage of 1TB is highly misleading—after testing, it barely holds a fraction of that amount. Performance-wise, the speed is frustratingly slow, making data transfers a painfully long process. Even for basic file transfers, it lags far behind other USB drives I've used.
If you're looking for a dependable, high-speed flash drive with genuine storage capacity, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This product simply doesn't deliver on its promises.

Disappointing Performance %26 Misleading Capacity

This thing is unreliable and a piece of garbage!
I got it to copy all my data on a 1 TB external hardrive. Once I got almost done copying about 500GB, it said a file was corrupted. Everything on my external harddrive worked just fine so I tried copying 1 file at a time and got the same error.
So, I ran a checkdisc that took over 6 hours and tried again only to get the same error.
Then I reformatted the entire thumbdrive, ran a checkdisc on a blank reformatted thumbdrive, and tried copying again and after over 1 day of copying files folder by sub-folder, everything was done.
However, when I went back to check word files, all the letters had been changed to symbols but the external harddrive files were just fine. Then when playing .wav file, they would play for only 5 seconds and stop but the same file on the external harddrive played just fine.
I redid the format and checkdisc and did the exact thing and got the same result 2 more times.
I should of known that $12 for a 1TB thumbdrive was a piece of garbage!
Thanks a lot for wasting almost a week of my time on this crap!
