A great alternative to expensive beauty salons. You must follow the instructions. If you do the product works like a professional manicure. The only negative is I wish they provided more than 10 cleansing wipes.

A Great Cheaper Option

Sally Hansen Gel Starter Kit and polishes are awesome. If you price everything out, it is a great deal. I had some mishaps in the beginning but stuck with it and it works wonderfully! I have very soft nails that peel so I have broken a few but it lasts 10-14 days, no doubt. I double the curing time and triple on dark colors. Also, the parts about cleaning and buffing your nails are very important and if you get it on your cuticle,it will lift and peel. If done properly, this will be your new addiction!

I don't usually write reviews, but I was so thrilled with this kit, I wanted to write in. Using as directed, you absolutely get a hard-as-nails glossy manicure that looks great. I did it three days ago and since then have washed the car and scrubbed my kitchen floor, without wearing rubber gloves, and it is still completely intact. I definitely need to improve my own skills handling a polish brush, and regulating thickness and thinness, and accurate placement (NOT on cuticles or skin, as is my wont), but I can tell that when I do, the results will be even more spectacular. This product is absolutely worth the money, IMO.

Does What It Promises

I've been looking for a good quality, reasonably priced gel nail kit for quite some time. I don't have the time or money to regularly visit a salon for a manicure, and so I've taken care of my nails myself each week for years. Unfortunately, I've been constantly frustrated with chips, smudges, and inconsistent drying times. Literally my first use of the Sally Hansen Gel Kit eliminated all those problems. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys having neat, glossy, beautiful nails without the hassle of ordinary manicures or expense of visiting a salon.

However, I would point out that the key to success is attention and patience. You thoroughly need to prep your nails, follow the instructions, and take it step-by-step. Only partially following the instructions will get you poor results.

While I haven't yet reached 2 weeks, I'm excited to see how long this manicure lasts and very confident this product will exceed my expectations.

The Perfect Manicure

I am a long time wearer of artificial nails, in fact in every photo of myself in high school I have on acrylic nails. Since then I have upgraded to the gel acrylic, but as any one who has worn these knows, they are hard on your natural nail. I love my natural nails but polish just does not last any longer than a few days. This product is the answer to that. I have loved SH polish since the day that I started using it and the same goes for this product. It really lasts up to about 10 days and that is wonderful for me. The only issue I have is the color selection, where are all of the springy colors every store I go to only has the same ole colors. I need the bright colors that you find in your complete salon manicure line, the yellows, teals, corals, and love the green tea color.

Love Love Love Sally Hansen Gel Polish

I don't like to spend hundreds on nails at a salon so decided to try this starter kit. The LED lamp has cut off after 30 secs which is nice and the size is good for mani and pedi. The nail polishes come in a small size which is disappointing. I tried French nails and the results were lovely but some chipping happened the 4th day. Maybe it'll stay longer as I learn to use it better. Not bad!

I followed all directions and yet within the first few hours a little piece came off one nail. Next day a large portion of thumb nail was peeling up...at this point I peeled them all off by hand...they came up very easily. Very disappointing...these are expensive! I tossed the box so cannot return. Very disappointing.
