I have been using Germ Guardian air purifiers for years and I see them in doctors offices too which makes me feel confident in them. I recently bought one as a gift for my daughter to help with pet hair and dander now that she has a Golden Retriever. I highly recommend this brand. 
I will say that one thing that confused her about this particular model is the red light. It being red makes you think it's time to change the filter because that is how most air purifiers are-green when it's good and red when it's bad. On this particular pet model the red light is always on-like a power light-and will blink when it's time to change the filter. Because I have used both Germ Guardian models for years I am familiar with it, but others may not be.

I looked into several different Air Purifiers on the market. It needed to be affordable, easy to use, get rid of pet dander, & dust. It is working very well. My daughter gets severe headaches, & it has helped her alot. My husband snores(& that has stopped) even though I didn't know it would help with that. My severe allergies are much better. I can actually breathe at night & sleep much better now. I am going to order at least one more, if not two.

Awesome Air Purifier for Allergy/Sinus sufferer

Our family absolutely loves these. We bought 2 for our 1000 square ft apartment,  one in each bedroom. Our family suffers from allergies and sinus issues and I would say these units have helped greatly. They do not eliminate all our problems but definitely help. I'm writing this review because the units just started beeping to let us know to change the filters, been about 6 months. So my wife turned them off for the first time since we bought them, yes they run non-stop, and the apartment now smells stuffy and stale. She can't stand it and her and my boys are now waking up stuffy in the mornings. I would definately recommend these. Our place would be just right with one more unit, but 2 have been working pretty good anyway. Going to find one for the car since we drive a lot also. Quick tip: if you vacuum the filters regularly they will last longer, I got lazy and only did it once. I'm going to vacuum them today and hope they last until my new ones get in.

This air cleaner is the minimum level to purchase!
That means do not waste money on cheaper air filtration units, you will only have to step up to this level.
I plan to get another unit for the kitchen / dinning area, as we will leave this one in our bedroom.
So far I can tell you two things, if you have asthma you will notice the difference and if you are always dusting things, you will see the difference .

good unit to start

I've owned my air purifier for one week and could tell a huge difference in air quality within the first hour of plugging it in. My husband has severe allergies and sinus problems, and this machine made a difference in his sleeping the first night. I put it in our bedroom that is approx. 15 x 18 with the door closed overnight. We move it out to the living room during the day, which is approx. 20 x 30, and can't tell quite as drastic a difference, but it still works very well. This machine actually cleans the air and makes it smell much fresher in our home. We don't have animals, and are not smokers, so I can only speak slightly to these details, but we are very clean people, and I can still tell a marked difference in air quality. The previous owner of our house had large pets inside, and even with lots of cleaning, I do think the ductwork holds and circulates pet hair (evidenced by the amount of hair we cleaned when we moved in). This machine is helping! The sound that comes from the machine is similar to the wind blowing. At level 5, it's fairly noisy, but level 4 works well for us, even 3 feet from the bed. Once we got used to the breeze sound at level 4, after the first 2-3 days, we didn't even notice it. I read several reviews on other sites before buying this product, and would recommend this to buyers. My only concern at this point is that sometimes air purifier models get updated and filters cannot be bought in the future. I'm debating whether I should go ahead and buy more filters now, at the risk of "losing" them somewhere in a closet when I need them! So far, we are very happy with our purchase.

I can tell a difference from the first hour!

I got this air filter for my 9 month old son's allergies. He was having major sinus problems because of pollen and some pet dander. We noticed within 2 hours a difference. He was napping well and finally able to breathe easy!
The UV light isn't so bad. If you have a problem with it at night... just turn off the UV light. The air filter can work separately from the UV light. And vice versa.
The highest fan setting is a bit noisy. We keep it on the setting just under high, and it's quiet with good air flow. I would recommend this to a friend, definitely.

It does what it says it does

This is a quality unit, has all the features anyone could want. The UV light is excellent and offers the best in defense to help kill and control Virus.
We bought one for Mom's room in the retirement home as an added line of defense.
Everyone should have one of these especially in these times of Covid.

These are a Must Have in every home

I have 3 of the Germ Guardian air purifiers.  I purchased 3 more for our 3 daughters.
I cannot remember the last time we were sick.   We turn it on at night when we go to bed.  It blocks outside noises and helps us sleep better.  This model had the largest UV light.  I change the carbon filter 4 times a year when it has white dust on it.
I changed the main filter only twice a year.   A must have!!

A Must Have Air Purifier

I like this air purifier. Simple to use and the filter is said to last 6 months. I have not had to replace the filter as of yet so I do not know the cost of this. The value of this product was worth it. One of the reasons I went with this is that Costco carried it, but for more. I know that some have had issues with the kill switch which is pushed in by the filter and back of the product. I have not had this issue.

Found this product to be a nice product.

It seems to work, but the smell that emanates from it whilst operating is atrocious. I have been running it for a little over a week now and it is not dissipating.
