I hesitated buying the OmiePod since it's not a necessity but I have to say that it's designed really well to go with the lunchbox! It's cute - my son says it looks like a big lollipop - and I love that the utensils go in and out of the pod very easily but is secure enough to not fall out of it.

I love love love how durable this utensil set and pod is. It reasures me that my daughter wont lose her utenisls. They are snuggled in the pod nicely and lets me not forget to mention how cute they are.

I like the design. The pod hung on the bento box made it easy and visible to put the utensils back. The tips of the fork aren't too sharp so it's safe to use in school.

I'm updating my review since its been 2 years. Overall still love the product. My 3 children who have the matching utensils(pink,purple,blue)to their Omiebox haven't lost a piece yet. Easy to clean, no staining, no complaints of having a hard time taking them in or out the pods. The only problem is 2 years later & I still only have 3 matching sets of pods/utensils but have purchased 6 of the core color boxes plus have the pastel color boxes in my cart and still don't have pods in red, green, or orange. I refuse to buy more blue utensils with the green & orange pods and red was never even an option if I did want more blue utensils. Every child wants and needs their own designated color to keep up with & even if I only had one child I wouldn't want more blue utensils. You could argue the Sunshine box matches, the Scooter red has blue on it although not an exact match to the pod but the sky utensils clash, but there isn't even a hint of blue on the Meadow box. It seems the pod is made of the same silicon as the dips and snacks so not sure why its not offered in the same colors. Would love if you could make all my children a set where the pod and the spoon matches the box. Other parents with fewer children than me have mentioned this as well. It seems this is a similar issue with our OmieUp box but that's a separate review which I did write as well. Most of the design team must have daughters. Hire me, I have sons & daughters. Overall still a great product, just pricey not to be an exact match and design team not mindful of all children's feelings.

I like the pod thing. Don't love it though.  Having something hanging off the box is s little weird, but my kid doesn't mind.  I don't care for the plastic utensils. Ended up using out own steel utensils

Good and necessary holder but over priced. Works with other forks and spoons.

Needed but expensive

I purchased the pink utensil pod and the blue, and while they are cute, they are not functional. Neither of my children are able to remove the utensils and put them back in the pod. Not to mention it is a clumsy attachment on the outside, and could easily get lost in a setting where lunchboxes are thrown around by young kids. The holder isn't very easy to clean and dry, either. I prefer placing utensils inside the box in the long space on the left.
