Perfect gift for a marvel and Lego obsessed child. My son jumps out of bed early just to open his daily gift and put it together over breakfast. Will definitely buy a similar advent calendar next year (Hoping they bring out either an avengers or black panther one).

There are small instructions on how to build the bits he opens every day, he is 4 years old and the instructions are quite simple and clear so he manages to build them by himself.

Lego Guardians advent calendar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Son is marvel mad so this is perfect for him to countdown until Christmas. He has only opened a few days so far but really happy with his calendar.

For Marvel Mega Fans

I bought it as a surprise advent calendar for my 8 year old son and he loves it. It has 24 lego guardians of galaxy characters. It's a bit pricey. However, I took away one star because the calendar rips easily at places where you need to remove the sticky tapes stuck on it as well as the actual dates you open each day can be opened easily unless you hold it right at the very edge.

Expensive,package rips easily but overall good!

Good pressie for GOTG fans

This is my first Lego Advent Calendar product and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time going through the little compartments and building (most of) the contents. If not for the quite high MSRP, I would recommend this wholeheartedly to any Lego fan regardless of age. As it stands, the most I can say is TRY to save some money by finding this on sale and THEN it will be a good, fun buy.

Also: the minifigure selection is *chef's kiss* perfection! The new Teen Groot print is absolutely beautiful and full of detail, and the holiday sweater characters are a hit as always.


The "rocket sleigh" model which is spread across 3 different calendar days (4 if you consider the Rocket minifig part of it -- and 5 or 6 days if you count Rocket's blaster plus the turkey he cooks with it!) is an absolutely incredible idea for connecting these small, spread-out builds into a larger, more meaningful play experience. When I imagined the joy and anticipation a child would feel from opening 5 or 6 different days worth of builds, spread gradually through the month, and FINALLY after a few weeks being able to piece together the entire sleigh model, it made me want to pick up another of these sets for my own child to enjoy this holiday season. Unfortunately he is still too young, but it's definitely something I'll remember for the future!

My son was a little disappointed and confused when the wrong parts were in the door, but he made something unique or used the box to figure out how to build it to make the best of it. But now on Christmas Eve the calendar is all open and he says, where's Rocket? We assumed when the wrong pieces were in that door we would eventually get him, but nope there was a duplicate instead.  We had three different Lego advent calendars at our house this year and this one was the only one with mixed up and missing pieces. Definitely disappointed.

I've bought the Star Wars/City/Harry Potter advent calendars for a number of years. Thought for a change would find something different. What a mistake. Whilst the characters are great and true to the series. The mini builds were just boring and totally uninspiring, not really having a clue as to where or what these fitted into generally. At least with other calendars there is a consistent and generally thought out build process.

No issues with wrong packs behind different doors like others have experienced, but this was a complete letdown. Will go back to the others next year. Disappointing Lego!

Really not up to scratch

So disappointed with this advent calendar. My daughter is a huge Guardians of the Galaxy fan and was so excited to get this. Throughout the month of opening doors, we found some bags mixed up and in the wrong places. And then on the 24th, the last door, she opened it to find a picture of Drax. Well that excitement turned to tears when she found two bags of repeat doors inside (a tree and a candy cane), and no Drax. I took the whole box apart thinking it might've slipped somewhere but no. If you're going to put out an advent calendar for that price, you really should make sure the correct pieces are in the correct doors AND all shown characters are there. Highly dissatisfied with this product.
