I brush oil inside the entire loaf pan just to cover the "pores" because my bread dough is always sticky. I load the pan into a cold oven, set it to 475 degrees F. Once it hits 475 degrees, I time it for 45 minutes with the cover on. Then I remove the cover and continue baking 10 more minutes. No cooling necessary to turn out a perfect loaf of bread every time. I use the no knead method with just 1/2 teaspoon of yeast and overnight rise. The No Knead recipe means you have no knead to ever buy bread again especially with this dependable loaf pan.

So I was looking for a sandwich loaf type closed baker for artisan bread. Ordered a clay baker from the other place. Came broken. Twice. Then it was a battle for a refund. So I decided to look at cast iron because you can use that too and it might not break. Also a lot cheaper. This came and I tried to see if there was a recipe for this size pan. Couldn't find one so I used the recipe I had that uses a polish. It came out perfect! Thank you Walmart for having this item available.
