I use this at home for low-volume, high quality B%26W pages. This printer is ideal for that. It will print 3"x5" but you have to fiddle with the margins because there is no 3x5 preset. This was very easy to set up on Wi-Fi.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OUR B8155 RUNS GREAT AS LONG AS IT CAN. WE WORK IT HARD AND ABOUT EVERY 6 MONTHS IT NEEDS SOME LOVE FROM A TECHNITIAN.  SOME TIMES BEFORE WE CHANGE A PART IT TENDS TO GO OUT ON US.  I AM SO GLAD THE TECHS WE HAVE ARE SO WONDERFUL AND HELPFUL WITH WHEN WE SHOULD CALL OR SHOW US HOW TO FIX THINGS WE CAN.

I bought this machine just over a month ago. Since day one it has been making squeaking, squealing, and grinding noises. I went online and I believe the live chat must have been a chatbot instead. I was instructed to look for possible cardboard or other things that might be stuck inside. I found nothing.

I print a lot of documents and need then collated. One of the documents was 10 pages in length and I needed 5 sets. After the 3rd set, the pages started to jam in the exit chute and the copies started to come out being inserted out of order.

For a brand new machine, I am very disappointed.

Squeaks, squeals, and grinds

This machine drinks toner like a fish drinks water!  And the toner is ridiculously expensive, must be ordered online (not carried by any of the office supply stores in my area) and event the high yield toner doesn't last very long.  Furthermore, it wastes much of the toner in the cartridge.  It doesn't let you shake the cartridge to get any last little bit out. The print quality will still be perfectly fine, but it goes by page count and, once those pages are up, the printer is a paper weight until you put in a new cartridge.  It even counts the blank pages!!  I had seven pages remaining according to my status screen.  I printed 6 pages (TWO OF WHICH WERE TOTALLY BLANK)  and now I'm down to one remaining.  My stupid tax software prints a lot of blank pages so just think of how many "pages" are wasted!  I've owned the printer for just over three months and I've used up 6 regular and high yield cartridges which already totals nearly 3 times as much as I spent on the machine itself!  Furthermore, I have to keep reinstalling the printer on my computer which is a waste of time.  Then, every time I reinstall it, it defaults back to double-sided printing which is incredibly annoying!

Waste of money

The printer repeatedly drops wi-fi and the unit has to be reinstalled again and again to be recognised.  For the past 10 years I have used my faithful Samsung mono laser printer/scanner/copier and I only changed printer because my old one was clapped out.  I have spent unbelievable hours of frustration trying to configure this Xerox and see if it will continue to retain wi-fi.  Having checked, it seems the firmware is not the latest version and there is no means of updating firmware from the printer menu.  The chatbot on the Xerox site couldnt help.  I deeply regret spending on this printer and the wasted time. it is now too late for me return it, which is even more irritating.

Avoid this terrible printer

This the third year i'm using this printer and conlusion is that the connectivity of printer is useless, i'm fighting over two hours to make the pc recognise the printer, is on wifi with static ip and xerox software cannot find the printer, useless machine. Instead of being the easiest thing to connect the printer is so frastrating that i will go to another brand. Waste of money. I bought it because i know xerox is a brand name. Sure maybe on machines that cost over 1000dollars

Do not buy

In 25 years working with computers, I've never experienced so many problems with trying to install a printer.
Firstly, I must point out the display panel.  It is very poor quality, wrongly positioned and feels no better than a school calculator.  The menu system is truly poor and extremely basic, and makes finding the information you want hard.  Not intuitive in any way.  

The installation however was where things took a nosedive.
Windows didn't recognise the printer drivers, even off the CD is used!  Even the printer software you'd expect to see wasn't present - you have to go online.  Why the CD then?  
I could have solved this by other means, but what is most frustrating is the app.  Oddly, it's called Easy Assist??
EASY ASSIST
Complex, unforgiving and not user friendly is ANY way.  I even tried it on different phones to check whether this made any difference.  It didn't.
I could not connect the app to the printer, despite trying multiple times and ways.  Not connecting automatically, I opted for a manual connection.
The app told me "Locate the SSID name and PW on your Printers display."  Finding that information using the instructions given on the app was beyond infuriating!  Lookin at the help option presents: Press OK on the control panel until you see the SSID and PW. 
Not only does nothing happen, but the information doesn't even appear anywhere else.   
The instructions simply do not correspond with how it functions.


I'd had enough of inkjet printers and expected a far better experience than what I've had.  This is Xerox!  It's going back to the supplier and I won't be ordering another Xerox.  Dreadfully disappinted.
