After trying two other z690 DDR4 motherboards, I'm convinced ASUS makes the best. There are three stand out features of this motherboard that i haven't seen on others. AI overclocking made it really simple to OC my processor without spending hours trying to get everything dialed in. The Q-release button for quickly disconnecting my GPU. Two sets of CPU cooler mounting holes. This was especially important when my AIO encountered a pump failure. Since the motherboard had both LGA1200 and LGA1700 mounting holes, i was able to get my PC up and running by getting an air cooler at a nearby store. I am really impressed with ASUS' products and have since purchased the Ryujin II 360 to add to my build.

This is a superb motherboard. Lots of overclocking ability and looks cool too. I have only just installed this but so far I haven't had any issues. Everything is laid out as you would expect with the added feature of have all the M2 internal SSD slots covered with their own silver metal heatsinks, the only issue I had with that is the SSD I ordered came with its own pre-installed heatsink which meant it was too thick to install under the mother board heatsink but that was my mistake. 

It has a quick release button for the graphics card which makes removing it a whole lot easier than the other boards i have had especially if the cards are extra long. 

It comes with plenty of cables and fixings and too. The added bonus of integrated Bluetooth and the option to add the WIFI antenna makes this a very good board. 

It comes with a lighting effect called Aura (the IO backplate connector lights up on the board) which along with all the other RGB parts i have makes it look cool.

My only criticism was that it only has one USB 3 header (along with 2 x USB 2 headers) and most cases now come with 4 USB 3 ports on the front which meant that i had to purchase a separate card so i connect all 4 ports.

All in all i would recommend this as it has great features and so far has performed very well.

Great Gaming Motherboard

I bought this motherboard with really on though in mind. And that was that is white. But let me tell you I got way more than I expected. Super easy layout. Every thing is right where you need it to be  only con I would say is for the custom water cooling people is that you need a small water block. As mine didn't fit so I had to trim mine down.

Wow outstanding

I am not good at doing reviews but so far I love this motherboard. I love the look of it and the ease of use of the BIOS interface it was easy to setup all my other hardware including the XMP profile for my memory. The only thing I havent been able to get to work is the Ethernet connection which didnt work upon loading of Windows and ArmouryCrate, I hope this is not a hardware problem within the motherboard and something i can fix within Windows, thank goodness for the wifi which works exceptionally well.

No complaints, I panicked when installing it though. I set everything up and it wouldn't post... Turns out big brain me didn't plug the CPU power cable in. Not to mention the big red light I ignored for ages telling me it wasn't. Should've read the manual. Great board tho.

This board offered the connectivity that i required which was my primary reason for purchase and there isnt much else available that offers the same.
The bios menu is overwhelmingly complex looking initial and terminology used is different but after a few weeks of learning the logic behind the layout it is very intuitive to use and easy to find what your looking for. I also love all of the tuning options available it feels like all the important things are there. The Ai overclocking performs very well achieving a 67% increase in performance at the flick of a switch, the auto voltage used is questionable for 24/7 use for my liking and i prefer to manually dial in my values which is no problem.
Asus offers some good desktop tools which allow for modification of bios values on the fly this is an overclockers holy grail saving much time from reboots.
Overall I am very happy with the value for money, it feels like a great choice, i still want to see improvement in bios as i have got stuck in a few bootloops which require a complete reset.

This board has every thing I need

need to fix bios. Defaults to raid which disables NVME drives. NVME drives do not show up in bios. If you turn raid off the drive will no longer boot and you have to reinstall windows. Disabling raid and doing a restore from backup will not work, windows will still not boot. Raid should be off as a default. I think there is a difference in drivers installed for raid and NVME.

Bios problem.

While the board is good, the onboard NIC is crap.  For me, it stopped working after a few weeks, I had to do a full power-cycle to reset it.  I RMA'd it, but since I needed the computer I purchased another identical board to replace it.  Same thing happened to the new board.  I ended up getting an external USB-C NIC which works fine

Nice board, but bad onboard NIC

The motherboard is beautiful.  All seems to work well except for one thing.  The computer reboots as it starts to go to sleep and nothing I mean nothing seems to prevent it from happening.  I believe this is a firmware issue.  I updated to the latest stable firmware to no avail.  Hurry up Asus and drop a firmware package that will fix this issue please.
