Fully submersible to 20 feet (6m), the Pro-Pointer utilizes a patented proportional audio and vibration pulse that increases as the pinpointer is moved closer to metallic targets. With 360-degree side scan detection plus a pinpointing tip, the Pro-Pointer AT’s patented scraping blade can be used to quickly sift through soil to find your target. Simple, one-button operation: simply tap the button to power on or off, to retune to a target, or to scroll through six adjustments for sensitivity and stealth mode (vibration only). The sides of the pinpointer include a molded lanyard attachment loop and a ruler in inches and centimeters to judge target depth. Ease Of Use

Absolutely the best

A step up from the original Pointer.  I used the original in Florida at the beach.  Everything seemed ok.  But when I went home to East Texas, it started acting erratically.   After various troubleshooting ideas, I knew I had to get a new waterproof one.  Lucky for me, Garrett makes one.  And I own one now.

Pro-Pointer AT: Best Ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Its easy to use it one time and see the quality difference over Chinese knockoffs (and there are a lot being sold at major sites)
They are knocking these off for a reason -people want them. Garrett has a solid reputation and being American made triples their value to me.
I bought mine direct from factory after getting snogged by a knockoff…they actually use Garretts pictures and description.  When you see a “Garrett” for sale at half price, run….
The Pointer Pro AT operates as I like; three settings from too sensitive to just right. I like setting 2 as it is not sensitive far away from the target, which too me makes it harder to do its job; PIN point.

I like it a lot and very much worth the money.

Have the go knock off pointer and they work well. Saw the garret at pointer and had to have them at the price I paid.

Wanted Garrett pointer

It was not packaged as I thought, not in a plastic sleeve inside manufacturer box and no 9v battery as it says on the box… disappointed at lack of quality control. 

It seems to power thru settings okay but the real test will be in the field.

Lacking Quality Control by Seller.

According to Garrett, the manufacturer, my Walmart "Garrett Pro-Pointer AT" metal detector is a pirated copy. It doesn't work so I'm trying to return it to Walmart.
