Water

The PurSteam Gray Stem Burst Iron with Ceramic Soleplate works well for me. The heat and the steam are great! The lid to the water reservoir can be a little reluctant to open at times, but not really a concern for me. The iron has a large water tank. The iron is not heavy and glides over fabrics well. I wish it had some more steam holes in the bottom, but it does seem to work very well the way it is made. I like the pointed end to get into corners, and between buttons on a shirt. The cord is plenty long for me. The dial is a little hidden, but manageable. I'm glad I purchased this iron.

Most of my ironing is for my sewing--I quilt and sew 'stuff', not apparel so much.  I don't use the steam feature, so can't speak to that.  But I am really liking the iron--great weight, heats up quickly and stays hot ( has an 8 min auto-shut off if left vertical with no movement, 30 second shut-off if left horizontal), long enough cord.  This is my first experience with the brand, PurSteam, and so far, it's been very good.  I'm really liking this iron.

PurSteam Iron

This new iron is a dream!  I still press clothes every week and this beast just glides along the fabric.  The steam is great and the temperate is always right on.  The iron is not overly heavy it feels just right when I use it every week.  I am sort of  glad my other iron puked so I could purchase this gem.  Here's to more weekly ironing sessions

Dreamy

Love this iron. It works beautifully and I love the fact that it will clean itself when I need it.  Glides perfectly over fabric and iron on transfers. Steam works very well when needed.

Great iron for quilting

This iron is just heavy enough to get the work done, but not so heavy that it is uncomfortable. Easy to fill water spout. Delivers top-notch steam for those perfect creases. Would buy again!

My new favorite iron

This iron's consistent heat distribution works wonderfully. I finished ironing much faster. So far, I haven't had any issues with water leakage. However, I have one concern, and I'm hopeful it will withstand the test of time if I'm cautious. The hinge that supports the cover for the water reservoir is made of plastic. I'm worried that opening it too firmly will cause the hinge to break off. With intentional mindfulness, I'll be fine, but with teenagers in the house, they'll be using the old iron.

Consistent heat distribution

it's a light iron i prefer heavy so the weight helps smooth out the fabric.  the buttons are in the wrong place. to press the steam button you have to reach over the spray button.

Just what I want to buy. I'm returning it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, overall, the product features and use are good. The water tank is having an issue, as I filled water below the max level, even below half, it still leaks water from the cap. First, I thought I hadn't closed the lid properly, turns out the lid itself has poor quality rubber to stop the water flow. Now I am struggling to refill the water tank again and again.

The water tank lid is faulty.

This iron will NEVER compare to my old Pur Steam iron. It leaked the whole time.  The water spigot design doesnt make sense. The seal to keep the water in is non existant. This a cheaply made iron and a poor replacement.

Water leaks out of the iron as quickly as it is put in. This is the second iron I bought, hoping the first was defective, only to have the same issue.
