I bought a humidifier tower version from another company and had to send it back because it leaked! This Vornado is quiet and works perfectly! Easy to refill and there isn't steam constantly. barely see the mist, if at all!

I just added this evaporative humidifier to my collection of Vornado products. It works really well in concert with the Vornado ultrasonic humidifier in my home. Unlike the ultrasonic, this is very easy to fill, but both work better than any other humidifier I've owned. Vornado quality is obvious to the eye.

This is easy to use and clean. I have other brands without filters and I always clean them once a week and this is the easiest to clean all I have had to do is wipe it down. It keeps the humidity in the room and I only have to fill it once a day so far, our last one I had to fill it twice a day sometimes more depending on the humidity.

Great Humidifier

I bought this about a month ago and I am glad I did.  It works like a charm and the humidity in the house is constant.  It is easy to refill and a full reservoir lasts over 24 hours.  The buttons are really easy to read and set.  I would recommend this product for sure.

Great Product

The cool mist humidifier that we were using was coating everything in the house with a white powder. The EV100 solved that problem and keeps our home humidified.

No more white mist

We bought this about a month ago. Even though we have a humidifier on our furnace, our bedroom is the farthest from the furnace and we don't get much flow. The humidifier has made all the difference in the comfort of our bedroom.

Works great

This one makes lot of noise. I don't think you can use it in the bedroom while sleeping  I have to go with Evaporative humidifier because my water is too hard and the ultrasonic produce too much white powder of minerals.

Good looking but make noise

Bought this 2 weeks ago to replace the same style and model number of the one I had for 5 years.  The old one was wonderful.  But this new one has a harmonic vibration when on high so I have to sleep when it's on low now.  Kind of a bummer because when it's on high it would drown out all the outside noises eg loud cars, dogs barking, parties next door.

From my experience, it is better than most humidifiers. But it is not that God humidifier that I was looking for. I want to humidifier that can keep my living room or whole bedroom at a certain humidity. This unfortunately only does a corner of the area. I will say walking into that corner is like paradise though

Better than most humidifiers

I bought this EV100 and also a EVDC300 for almost the same price and the EVDC300 is far superior in every way. 

1. The wick just kinda flops over after it gets wet in this EV100 because the case is designed badly. There is insufficient support to hold the wick tightly in place which allows air to suck in unfiltered. Also the vent holes sometimes do not get covered by the wick. You have to adjust the filter alot because the groove"guide" for the wick is much bigger than the actual wick unlike the 300 which tucks in very well and keeps the funnel air tight.
2. EVDC300 auto shuts off when the water is gone unlike this EV100.
3. EV100 burns through the tank of water significantly faster than the 300 even thought i have the same settings
4. Same size as the 300, but advertised to humidify half the sq footage of a room than the 300.

I can keep going about energy usage etc etc, but basically dont buy this and go straight to the EVDC300

Old Model?

This unit marginally increases the humidity of a room.  Even in a small room (small bedroom), the increase is negligible.  I'm returning it for a humidifier that increases the humidity.    The noise from the fan is not noticable, wasn't an issue.
