This blender gets 5 stars because it blends and chops ice cubes into smoothies just as well as Mom's Oster® . Sure, it is a noisy unit... Vibrates plenty because no heavy glass jar. Thin plastic. Blades not removable from the jar.  Six speeds is plenty. Goes from blastingly noisy to fearful cacaphony in a jiff. But for twenty dollars, all brand new, and shiny and rattly? It is fine.

I had been using a personal bullet mixer but got tired of having to turn it Upside down to use. And It was too small. This mixer blends better, holds five times more and chops up my frozen fruit easily.

Great product and value for your money.  One main draw is the color,  the lavender or light purple color is an immediate draw for my wife.  For me it is the simple button layout to apply the power you need to get the job done.  The jar is easy to clean, has an opening on the lid to add other ingredients,  the cord can wrap around under if you do not need all that length,  so looks cleaner on the counter.  As a blender it is plenty powerful for our needs as we use to blend health drinks with fruits or vegetables.

I have to put my medicines in little containers for the week and and I set my medicines on it and it's really really convenient when I'm not using it for that I may set it in front of me while I'm watching TV and play a little card game and you can fold it up and put it away this little table is very convenient. Anybody would enjoy having it

This little puppy has REAL power for the $$!!! i am spoiled by my Vita,ix, but this one really did a great job creaming garlic and other herbs and things into my salad dressing, I didnt even peel the garlic and it creamed it!

Great Punch for the Price!

The mixer jar is plastic, which makes it light weight. And it blends well.  But the blades are not removable for cleaning.  And, my husband's hands are too big to fit in the bottom to clean the blades.

Works well, Hard to clean

I love the Mainstays brand but this time I think I should've went with another option. First off, this blender is VERY loud, and I mean VERY! My TV volume was on 8 and I had to turn it up to 20 to hear. I'm a night owl so I planned on using it at night to make shakes for the next day, but I wouldn't use this after like 9pm because I know it can be heard outside of my apt. Then, it shakes more than expected while using; yeah you have to hold the top closed, but my other hand was the container. I didn't think it would pop out, but the container vibrated like it wanted to! It also got a little warm after just 60 seconds of use which I don't know if that's normal, but if so, I wouldn't have expected that after just 1 minute. As for blending, I like that once you press the button of choice you can let it go; some blenders require you to keep holding it. But there are 4 'indents' on the inside of the container, and even after blending for almost 4 minutes (I let it rest a little after each minute), there was still a little powder stuck on these indents that I stirred in with a spoon. Mind you my shake only needed to be blended for 90s-2min, but I had to do extra time because I saw a few small clumps of powder after that time, and again, I let it rest because it was getting warm. For reference, I was blending 24 oz of milk, 7 scoops of mass powder and I added an 8oz high cal Boost drink, so there was 32oz of liquid! I'm going to try it again with half the milk and powder, a full Boost and see if that helps though then I have to make shakes twice.
I do like that it's lightweight, easy to clean and that the top has a removable 'cup' but I honestly wouldn't buy this again...even if it blends better with me halving my mix, the loudness is ridiculous.

Did the job, mostly, but....

Very cheap constuction. The blender plastic is thin and cheap. Don't know how long it will last. Don't really want to try to blend ice in it. Will use for ice cream and milk. Don't expect this to last long but I was in a bind and it was the only thing in stock,

I bought two of these and neither of them worked. I didn't even bother to return them. Too much hassle. I was very upset. Both times. I had 3 serious surgeries from May to October and needed that blender.😞

Disappointed
