Nice unit, great for toast or waffles. Proctor/Silex is a well-known product as I remember my mother had a coffee pot from this company, she had it for years. I was surprised when I came across this toaster and am glad I did. Easy to use and I like the adjustment dial for darker/lighter toast. So far so good, I would recommend as I am pleased with my purchase.

I like the adjustable slot for ticker and wider slices of bread.  My grandchildren love it.

I bought this for my elderly Mom. She likes simple appliances so she can operate. She loves it! She says it's easy to operate and she can enjoy bagels now with the wide  slots.  So with that said a great buy for her.

Simple elegant looking toaster

FINALLY! A plain reasonable toaster that toasts evenly. Produces toast that is hot inside. All for a good price. Didn't want bells and whistles. Just a toaster that does the job evenly and at a good price. This plain Jane little toaster is it! A great value.

Sometimes plain Jane is perfect!

So far I've just used this for bagels and Pop Tarts but it works well and looks really sleek. If you use it for MINI bagels, however, you will have to fish them out with a fork, which is annoying but not a problem caused by the toaster itself. Most of the time I will set it to 2 and it heats up to just the right temperature without burning anything. The crumb tray is a neat feature and is easy to remove/re-insert.

I have always relied on Hamilton Beach brand kitchen appliances for durability, style, fair pricing, easy maintenance.  This toaster has several convenient versatile features.  Only reason I omit a five star rating is that I end up dialing to the last two highest numbers for my preferred distribution of a golden brown colored toast results.  However, unlike other brand toasters I've had, this HB model captures and retains crumbs until ready to remove the bottom tray.  My counter where I rest the toaster remains crumb free while others caused crumbs to scatter outside of the toasters due to poorly designed crumb trays.

HB toaster is made with useful features

I will be returning this. Looks nice, is easy to use but leaves large un-toasted areas on the bread.  I could put up with it if it was only in one slot but it happens in both slots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know yet but I'm thinking I'll be disappointed. I ordered 4 air purifiers and 4 replacement filters. I couldn't get any of the units to connect to Alexa at all. And I find it doesn't really produce much air flow, which would be crucial for cleaning the air.

Clorox Should Stick to What They Know

The toaster looks nice but it seems to have been returned before. The plastic was half off and there was black looking trash all over it. After cleaning it off, I plugged it in and as soon as it started heating up, a horrible chemical smell started filling my house to where I had to turn on fans and open windows. I sure miss all of the old American made with pride things.
